Post what you are seeing or hearing here. Freepers and PUMAs unite for Mac/Cuda victory over the false messiah!
Strange phone call right now at 1:30 PM on election day from Obama’s headquarters here in SC to urge me to vote.
First Obama call I’ve recieved ever....isn’t that odd?
Somebody reply, if you remember Tommy Smothers on Paul Bunyan and his Giant, Vicious, Blue Puma!
What did Rush just see on FOX? I was on the phone. Something about a testicle lockbox?
We got one last night. As soon as I heard the words "Hi, this is senator Barack Obama..." I hung up! I also thought about disinfecting the phone!!
Good to hear!!
I’m going at about 3:30ish. I’m hoping the lines aren’t that long (our area is small, so I can’t imagine it will be). But all over the radio and TV are reports that the lines in Chicago are very, very long. Supposedly, they are expecting turn out at 80%.
Also, at 10:45 this morning they were already reporting that the parking garage at Grant Park is full.
I am surprised they did not have a VIP voting booth with valet parking.
I know Rush was talking about the Black Panthers in Philly intimidating voters. They also went after Rick Levinthal of Foxnews. They have night sticks apparently threatening the voters and telling them the blacks will take over.
Arizona checking in again! I went and voted at the local elementary school, no line at all. There were about 6 voting booths with one or two empty at a time. I overheard one of the election workers say turnout had been pretty good. I screwed up my ballot and had to get another one,(felt like a total idiot), and I was leaving another person was coming in. I only saw one campaign sticker on one car, McCain/Palin ‘08! My downstairs neighbor, who is gay, voted FOR the marriage amendment here, banning gay marriage! He says it creeps him out too. HAHA!
Suburban Richmond, VA - Chesterfield County, Robious Precinct.
I arrived about 11:40 and had to wait about 35 minutes. I was # 1,700. The line was beginning to shorten a bit by noon.
Went to my polling place this morning (a church in Parkland, WA), got there 5 minutes before the polls opened, intending to be first in line. Normally, my polling place gets maybe 50 people all day.
Imagine my surprise when there were over 50 people waiting in line!
I stood in line for 40 minutes before I got to vote. The poll workers were NOT expecting this amount of people! They were nice, and they did their jobs adequately. I voted by electronic touch machine...no irregularities.
HOWEVER...there were so many people there to vote with the paper ballot, and they only had something like 7 “booths”. So, some people were using open tables, pews, and one lady even went to the lectern and voted there!
I don’t consider McCain winning either NC or Ohio an “upset”.
I think he had it locked up right along.
I don't know, but I'm lovin' me some global warming today. It's sunny and 70 in suburban Chicago. 4 years ago when I cast my vote for Bush, it was gloomy, rainy, and cold. I wore a sweater with my jacket. Today it t-shirt weather not even close to jacket weather.
Rush was telling the Barry party goers to have ID for tonight’s bash...but they didn’t need it to vote, of course.
Fox is still showing Rick talking to the Black Panther guy. They are arguing about Fox’s right to be there on location.
OMG Check this out...
Voted here in Albuquerque. Our polling place is at the elementry school so we just brought the kids and cut them loose on the playground. Then my wife went in followed by me when she was done. It look like it was going pretty smooth overall.
There was a girl in the polling location who’s name was not on the voter rolls and they were trying to explain to her how provisional balloting worked. The poll workers really seemed knowledgable and helpful which was a welcome change from last election. We do live in a very conservative part of town though which naturally increases the IQ quotent as well as the politeness of people.
