TOLEDO, OHIO -- Toledo police are gearing up for possible "Civil unrest" during and after tomorrow's elections.
In an internal memo obtained exclusively by NBC 24 News, officers are ordered to "Have their riot equipment with them Tuesday and Wednesday". Police chief Mike Navarre confirms, officers will have gear similar to the equipment they used during the 2005 race riots. "They have been asked to have their helmets and their gas masks available tomorrow and Wednesday.", Navarre says, "That's the equipment they would not normally carry with them on a normal day".
Navarre also says, officers will not be stationed at individual polling stations. But the memo says otherwise. It reads, "On Tuesday, units shall be directed to patrol the polling locations".

Who does this suggest will win Ohio if assuming the police chief has access to internal polling?

Yes, “civil unrest” is the PC term for “rioting and looting”.

This isn’t Kenya: Waving machetes, short swords, Saturday Night Specials and Molotov cocktails around in American suburbia/exurbia will buy you a cheap funeral and cardboard casket courtesy of the county commissioners.

Interesting. I live near Columbus. While at the store yesterday, the person at the counter told me his brother worked for the local fire department. According to the brother, police, fire, and rescue personnel were instructed to review their SOPs for “civil unrest.” My first instinct was to be skeptical. People love to claim “inside information” during big events. This, however, seems to have merit.
I agree with your post, but I would suggest that Chicago may be the real ground zero in the event “zero” loses.

Gee, sounds like they’re expecting an Obama loss. A MCCain loss would not necessitate any of th e preventive riot gear and extra officers.

Said Detroit Mayor Mufume from his federal prison cell, "If we lose the last few standing buildings, it will make it that much harder for us to loot welfare moneys from the state and federal government. I got two wives(PBUT), two girlfriends, three Jewish lawyers and a Irish and Polish Police Superintendent that I have to 'Take Care of', if you know what I mean".
The Mayor went on to ask this reporter if he wanted to get in 'business' and smuggle in some blow.
