The Alaska Governor instead invokes Joe the Plumber and his view of Obama's tax plan when asked by CNN investigative reporter Drew Griffin whether she would label the Democratic nominee a socialist.
Though suggests Obama would "take more from small businesses and redistribute that according to his priorities," saying that's "not good for the entrepreneurial spirit."

“She still could have said Marxist background and history, why dont you ask him if he still clings to the failed policies of Mugabe, Obadinga, Castro, Chavez, etc.?”
Why? To appease the people who already know that is what he is? The moonbats who watch CNN think he is the second coming. They have no clue what a Marxist is.

“Great, Sarah, going soft like Rommney on Obama. RINO.”
Not sure that Palin is a RINO. She’s probably just doing what she’s told.
Just like she will do if McCain is elected.
We’re in for a long four years regardless of who takes the WH.
Romney is a socialist himself, so it isn’t surprising that he’s covering for his fellow traveler Obama.

Let’s see you take the weeks on end of being on the stump, taking the slings and arrows of the MSM, attacks on you and your family, and having your every statement spun against you ... then you are free to call Gov Palin a RINO. In the meanwhile just whine from your keyboard.

A little explanation, I dredged up this article, as an answer to this thread:
Romney says Obama is not a socialist .
In this thread, Romney is being thrashed for going along with both Palin and McCain in not calling Obama a socialist.

Exactly. The sheeple are not receptive to strong statements when it comes from the top down. This has to bubble its way up from the blogosphere until it is eventually accepted as fact

If your calling Gov. Palin a RINO, you should have your Freeper license revoked.
They should call you pissant, but that name is already taken.

Meh. When you govern a state that sends out free checks to all, it’s a bit harder to call anybody else “socialist”.

The democrats ask questions that have good come backs no matter how you answer.
Both Sarah and Mitt know enough about the strict definition of socialism to not fall into the trap.
You can call Obama a socialist, but that hyperbole for what you really mean. Obama is promoting socialistic ideas that involve going down the road to socialism. By inches or miles, that road leads to job destruction, demoralizing of society, and a recession — if not a full fledged depression.
To: Plutarch
Yeah, I remember Romney took a lot of heat earlier when he said he thought Obama was not a socialist. Looks like he was probably just towing the party line there.
To: Plutarch
He’s not only socialist, he’s an authoritarian socialist. He wants to coerce people through the government.

Having read some of your comments on other threads it's obvious that to some extent you are a Romney supporter. I don't have any problems with that. I liked Romney though he was not my first choice.
Having said that calling Sarah Palin a “RINO” the day before the election in order to juxtapose her views with Romney serves no purpose. Mitt Romney is not the nominee.

Having said that calling Sarah Palin a RINO... Sorry, it was just bitter sarcasm. Obviously, Palin's failure to call Obama a socialist doesn't her a RINO, but neither does Romney's. I just get real tired of gratuitous Romney bashing at FR, and I wanted to call attention to the contradiction.
