No problem. The coal miners unions will still demand they vote for Obama, even if it destroys them.

I was in a union once and we were told how to vote. But myself and many if not most of my co-workers voted just the opposite. Unions DO Not really have that much power in delivering the vote.

The union will probably say nothing, but the coal miners themselves are going to have a great deal to say at the ballot box. This may put McCain/Palin over the top in PA, Oh, and WV.

A whole lot of those state’s economies are ultimately coal based. Mines, manufacturing, grocery stores. This is a disaster for Obama and it looks as if we are using it well.

Do the union bosses [aka “thugs”] go into the booths with their employees?

What if the they say “yeah boss” and vote to keep their jobs any way?

How will the thugs...I mean, bosses know?

I know hubby’s union [AFSCME, Teamsters] pressured him to vote for “their” candidates all the time but he voted his own mind, in the end.

I doubt that the top ten leaders of the UMWA have 10 years of mining experience put together.

“No problem. The coal miners unions will still demand they vote for Obama, even if it destroys them.”

UMWA membership only represents 10% of active coal miners.

They might want to take another look at Michigan and the auto industry to buy a clue.
