Ohio Coal Association Says Obama Remarks Make It Clear: Obama Ticket Not Supportive of Coal

Mike Carey, president of the Ohio Coal Association (OCA), today issued the following statement in response to just-released remarks from Senator Barack Obama about the nation's coal industry. "Regardless of the timing or method of the release of these remarks, the message from the Democratic candidate for President could not be clearer: the Obama-Biden ticket spells disaster for America's coal industry and the tens of thousands of Americans who work in it.

my thoughts exactly I hope they did not early vote.

Ohio,Nv,Va,NH,Pa,Iowa,Fla.NC and Minnesota for McCain, book it, bet on it..

Also do not forget the hispanic vote is for McCain I don't think Richardson can steal NM!

I did not realize that. I just assumed there was early voting in alot of states.

They made their bed now let them sleep in it...Here is obama saying he wants to destroy the coal business n then he says he will create jobs..this guy is a real threat to this country and the people better wake up soon and fast!

This plan will not just affect the coal industry.

Electricity rates will double and the prices for steel will skyrocket also. Carbon is an essential ingredient in steel both as a constituent of the steel itself and as the fuel that feeds the furnaces to make steel.

Obama is a madman bent on turning the United States into a third world country.
