I’m not so sure about the wealthy part. I believe her grandfather is the moneybags, and has disinherited the grand kids, planning to give all his money to charity.
Paris is probably pretty unhappy. She was raised to be property, and is probably aware that her resources are very limited. Her best bet would be to go incognito, marry some honorable veteran, and live in a small town, after learning what it takes to be a housewife and mother.

Sorry, but I think she deserves our compassion. She was (is) very young and rich. A lot of people envy her wealth, but it appears to have done her far more harm than good. From what I’ve read, she actually seems to be starting to learn from her mistakes. It is my hope that she straightens out and finds a decent, moral guy. She COULD be a force for good someday.
