I am Baptist and not very knowledgeable on Roman Catholic polity. But I was wondering....why doesn’t the RC just excommunicate these two and others that violate RC beliefs?

I have a feeling that voter intimidation will be rampant this year. Farrakhan type thugs in bow ties will be standing at polling places, glaring at obvious McCain supporters. People will be kicked, beaten...fights will start. This will be a very bad time, throughout most of the country. And the police reaction in places like Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, New York? Arrest the McCain supporters for racism, of course. But don’t expect any of this to be covered at MSNBC. Unless, of course, Obama should lose. Then fraud at the polls and...well, you know the rest.

Please God, let Catholics see the Sign of the Times in which we live. This is my meditation on the Holy Father’s visit to Washington in April. I don’t have a picture. it’s copyrighted so I can’t post it. God Bless.
Before Pope Benedict came to America to celebrate Mass in New York and Washington, it was revealed that as a young boy in Germany he had had a cousin with Down Syndrome. One day a Nazi doctor came and claimed his cousin for the Third Reich. Taken to be cared for at the hospital young Joseph Ratzinger never saw his cousin again: one of the host of useless eaters marked for extermination by that brutal regime.
My wife and I operate St. Josephs House, a daycare and respite care home for handicapped children. As it happened one of the children we care for, a wheelchair bound young lady, was chosen along with three other handicapped folks to carry the gifts up to the altar before the consecration at the Mass at Nationals Stadium in Washington D.C. on April 17, 2008. One of these was James, a 30ish man who works in the Officers Club at Andrews AFB. James has Down Syndrome. He was chosen to carry the large host which would become the Body of Christ lifted up before the assembled. As James with great ceremony advanced toward the Pope, his native enthusiasm overcame his reserve and he started to run. Simultaneously the Holy Father leapt from his chair and walked towards James with his arms outstretched. We have a picture of this moment which I cannot look at without tearing up. What did he see as he gazed so lovingly at James? I believe he saw his cousin. I believe he saw the face of Jesus. And I believe that his great prayer as he elevated that host on that impossibly beautiful day was As long as you did to these the least of my brethren, you did it to Me.
The next day April 18th, a boy was born to of all people, the Governor of Alaska. They named him Trig.

Man, if this ain’t a battle between good and evil I don’t know what is.
I heard a big time preacher this morning ask “What if a muslim leads this country?” That’s deep. His sermon was to rely on God no matter what. He said, “I’ve read the entire book and in the end, we win!”

Why do these pro-death people want to be Catholic?
To: Publius804
At my mothers parish, the pastor was complaining about “partisan” canvassing being done in the church’s parking lot. Sure enough, these “partisan” pamphlets were all about Obama’s support of partial birth abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, homosexual marriage, etc. Basically, the folks distributing these pamphlets were saying what the padre should be saying from the pulpit.
I suggested to my mother that she stop supporting her parish financially until the pastor either repents or is replaced. We don’t need these namby pampy kumbaya types on the altar or in the pulpit.

"Salt and Korsen then announce that Catholics United is "spearheading an effort to put the brakes on the religious right's plans in as many parishes as possible," and is asking followers to "call your pastor and encourage him to instruct the ushers to monitor the church parking lot during the worship service." They're not Catholics, Catholics do not, and never have, called the Mass a "worship service". The term ' worship service' is a Protestant term, Catholics simply call it "the Mass".
Speaking of Fr. Frank Pavone, he received hundred of death threats and thousands of hate mail messages because he stood outside the murder place of Terri Schiavo and fought to save her life. Shortly afterwards Planned Parenthood called Fr. Pavone, "our worst and most feared enemy".

This is possibly even worse than suspected. George Soros appears to be funding anti-Catholic organizations that are pretending to be Catholic. Importantly, do not assume that the membership of these organizations is Catholic. In fact, quite likely many or most are atheists, with just a minority being ex-Catholic.
Remember, in past, organizations opposed to Catholic doctrines have infiltrated church services for nefarious reasons such as disrupting masses and stealing the Host.
I would not be surprised if such people even resort to violence, such as vandalism to vehicles parked outside a church, calling in bomb threats, or physically attacking those distributing pro-life information at the church.
To: Publius804
It’s time for the Caatholic Church to tell people that if they are pro-Choice they are NOT Catholic. It’s really not complicated.

Somehow 13- out of 107 Bishops disagree with these CINOs.
The list of U. S. bishops who have spoken out on the priority of the life issues in this election is now over 100. The list now contains 70 individual bishops and three joint statements.
I would like to continue updating this list until the day of the election. I have tried to incorporate all the comments thus far. If I dd not get them all, I apologize. (For a few of the suggestions, I could not find a suitable link.)
Please continue using the comments section to let us know what bishop is not on this list who should be. This would include any bishop who has individually, or jointly, published a statement about this election pointing out the primacy of the life issues.
Thank you for your help.
