the mass of rats who've come from under the woodwork and don't know anything about the issues and are voting because of the bandwagon effect....worries me.

I don’t think he meant financially poor. More like seeing someone in the rain without an umbrella, and saying “poor guy’s getting wet”, if that makes any sense.

They vote in every election, they always vote Democrat and this year will be no different.

Don’t panic, it won’t make any difference.

I’ve been talking to a person who’s just amazed with Obama, rising from being a poor person to running for Pres.

What I want to know is why a country where a relatively poor black kid can rise to become the front runner for President at the age of 47 needs to be "fundamentally changed."

The older folks I know are for McCain for a variety of reasons. Obama’s major support comes from middlers.

I spoke with a 25 year old yesterday, and was told that she decided against Obama during the final debate with McCain. She said that Obama never really answered the questions, that that McCain did.

She is a liberal-minded, young lady, so this really, really surprised me.

All my black collegues have early voted. They are partly why I went ahead and did it. I got tired of them trying to convert me.

“I strongly and ideologically dis-agree with the LIBERAL ideas being sold to poor people. BUT I would never stoop low and call them “rats”.

Just my comments.

Yeah, thanks n00b, you signed up today to preach to us did you? I’ll bet the comments over at DU and KOS don’t bother you a bit do they?

There are a few elderly black folks that I keep an eye on because they are sweet and loving people, and their existing families don't really do what needs to be done.

One of these ladies is 89 years old and we were talking about life and things a few evenings ago. Living with her are her 77 year old disabled sister and an 86 year old first cousin.

This lady has always voted democrat and she knows no other way. Her family has always done so and it would never even occur to her to listen to what any other party had to say. Everyone besides democrat politicians have never done a good thing ... ever. Voting democrat is like breathing to these folks.

Earlier in her life, way back when, she was a hard-working woman with a large family. They probably received government assistance of some sort even then. Today, everybody in that household, as well as every other household we talked about, live on "checks". Government benefits. (In the interest of full disclosure ... she is always giving me commodity cheese and that stuff rocks!)

Nobody should mistake the fact that these people vote. Every election. If that is the only thing they get 'tow town' for in the month of November -- I guarantee you that it will be to vote. Everything they have (or don't have, to be more realistic) depends upon it. Odd thing is that if she called me and needed me to take her to the polls ... I'd do it. I have promised her that I will do whatever I can, whenever I can, for as long as I am able.

I just hope her youngest son will have the truck running next Tuesday.

I voted early here in NC on Wed. 2 CHURCH bus loads (church logo plus Obama sign) full of black folks unloading/loading at the voting place. Democratic table with young man giving everyone ballots all premarked with the dems and he kindly showed us all how to vote.

I took one because it made choosing the Republican all that much easier as the dem was marked off already.

Ballots were in Spanish and English. That one I wasn’t aware of prior.

Drove by another area on Friday to see if folks were still in lines....saw basically the exact same thing.

Was told Fayetteville, NC election board kept polls open 2 hours later on Sat than originally were going to. Republicans were against it but dems run the board.

If Obama steals (not wins - steals) this election by a low margin, we’re fools if we don’t spill into the streets demanding ALL ballots be verified.

But...my gut tells me McCain is going to win.

Between John Hagee, Perry Stone and John Ankerberg, I am just about as happy as a pig in mud. Ankerberg’s TV 1/2 hour needs donations. Well, don’t they all, but Ankerberg in particular.

I agree. Since casting a vote for Obama is the same as casting a vote for unlimited abortion; I would think a RAT would have more respect for the sanctity of Human life. Well, at any rate, it could not be a lot worse, right?

We should not let our ideological and political drift make us see fellow human beings as RATS. ============

No, not as RATS but as ENEMIES of a free nation. Enemies of the unborn, loathers of righteous military power and the free exercise of consituional rights like political speech, the bearing of arms, and the right to a happy, productive life unfettered by income seizure and redistribution. Those people, yeah, those RATS.

“I know plenty of liberals who are decent people who love their family and who work hard.”

What is “decent” about condoning the murder of unborn, and now even newborn babies? There are so mant tenets of liberalism that are wrong on all levels, this(abortion on demand, is just the most heinous and blatant.)
