Video of Senator McCain quizzed on Eagleburger's comments on Governor Palin's qualifications in Foreign Affairs.
Eagleburger clarifies his previous comments "with foot in mouth" and calls Obama a "Flim Flam Artist".
"I made a serious mistake yesterday". "I was just plain stupid".
Is he apologizing for questioning Sarah or for calling NOBAMA a FLIM FLAM artist?
Believe me, Eagleburger is as given to “rhetorical flourishes” as Joe Biden. He should be given the same pass that Biden is routinely given.
FLim-flam man fits the bill. ; )
If you listen, you can tell.
No, he upped the ante by calling the flim flam artist’s statements on foreign policy, “stupid.” HAHA, too funny.
These guys just don’t get it, we are a republic, we vote, We the People, for better or worse, decide who is ready to be president and vic-president.
**No, he upped the ante by calling the flim flam artists statements on foreign policy, stupid. HAHA, too funny.**
I opened my keyboard before putting my brain in GEAR. That is something for ANY Politician to Apologize, without making it sound like “I apologize for getting CAUGHT”
Every time I see Eagleburger or Pat Caddell on TV I say to myself (or the cat if she’s around) that it would not surprise me in the least if he keeled over from a heart attack at any moment.
It's for being a MARXIST and SOCIALIST, STUPID!!!
Lawrence,eat a salad and save a village!
Mr. Secretary, you did redeem yourself and few would accept the blame as squarely as you did. I am most appreciative you straightened it out as your purported defection really disappointed me.
Eagleburger is far from the worst to come out of the State Dept. But if he signed up on Free Republic “Oh Woe Is Me!” would have to be his tagline.
Great politicl cartoon!
I sure hope there is no job promised to this mouth.
I saw Eagleburger on Fox. I have never seen anyone like this make an apology for something they said that they later realized was in error. Eagleburger shows me that he is a man of high integrity.
I think the real problem with Eagleburger’s assessment of Sarah on day one was the media. The media ignored everything else about the interview. That was the story. Nary a mention of what he said about BHObama.
I was pretty infuriated when searching for the quote on BHO, because all search results were ala “Palin not Ready”. I don’t know what can be done about the media bias. I only hope that we can get this “flim flam” thing out there....
anyone?
Yeah, he’s sorry - meaning he’s sorry he put his foot in his mouth. I’m sorry too - sorry that he has revealed himself as just another bloated, supercilious, jerk.
Sarah is the litmus test. Those who despise her are the same people who got this country in the mess it is in, and that includes just about everybody who has ever had anything to do with the State Department - including Eagleberger.
