"Works on commission! No money down!"
He says, "Oh no, the printers got this all wrong. Here you go."
"Works on commission? No! Money Down!"
This can’t be true! Iowa is gone, and Colorado is hopeless! Rich Lowry told me so!

Rick Davis: McCain ‘Dead Even in Iowa’
“
I wonder if Col. Bud Day is touring the Iowa in support of his roommate
in The Hanoi Hilton.
And yes, that would be Senator John McCain.
I read the book about Col. Bud Day (Amazon listing linked below)
and Col. Day mentioned a number of his negative views of McCain
(over-the-top hot dog, adulterer, MIA at Vietnam-era veteran meetings).
BUT, I was shocked to see him with McCain during the Iowa primary
AND
Col. Day was shown on TV coverage in the audience when McCain gave
his end-of-convention speech...Col. Day wearing his Medal of Honor.
Maybe plenty of “Hawkeyes” (and even some “Cyclones”, LOL!) have,
like myself, come around to support McCain (even “warts and all”)
over the ObamaMessiah.
American Patriot: The Life and Wars of Colonel Bud Day

Iowa was, in my opinion, the biggest surprise of Election Night 2004., with W. nipping Kerry 49.9%-49.2%. As I recall, it wasn't called until after dawn.
It is a diverse state in factors other than race (being overwhelmingly white). Eastern Iowa is more industrialized, more unionized, more Catholic, and more Democratic; western Iowa is more rural/agricultural, with more wheat farms mixing in with the corn the farther west you go, more Protestant, more Republican, and unfortunately more lightly populated.
If Iowa is indeed even (as opposed to the McCain chairman displaying unwarranted optimism), it could be a great steal.
Got a kick out of a radio report this morning on the Obama visit to Iowa. Not a hint that O's campaign might be in trouble. The spin was that Obama was returning for a final nostalgic visit to the state where he began his ascent to the nomination.
I think the moment people step in that booth, millions are going to say, “on second thought, I’m voting for McCain.” Tammy Bruce, filling in for Laura Ingraham today said that two of her 20 something female, LA based friends, voted absentee. They are both pro-choice and thought they would vote for Obama. But when it came time to fill out the ballot, they just couldn’t do it. They BOTH voted for McCain. One of them said they did so because Obama is “arrogant.”
If this happened in CA, we can expect that to happen in voting booths across the country!
The One was bussing in voters from IL for the IA caucuses.
Oh I see Dead-even rather than Dead; even in Iowa.
I had a heart attack before I parsed that. A hyphen makes all the difference.

LOL, you owe me a new keyboard!
good one.
Love the tag...
I read it that way at first too.
Col. Bud Day was interviewed on Hugh Hewitt's show yesterday. He's a hero, a really remarkable man.
Haven't read American Patriot: The Life and Wars of Colonel Bud Day but am thankful you brought it up. Will add it to my reading list.
with McPalin...I truly believe we will finally after 35 yrs have an energy policy..
“Forget the polls, watch the candidates.”
That bears repeating!
And, I really think there is some wild hysteria in the Obama camp right now. The polls numbers, given the amount of money and collusion going on in this campaign, should have him tracking much higher than McCain, from an objective standpoint.
That McCain is within striking distance and will probably pull off an upset just has to gall them, I’d think.
You may be the only member of FR who doesn't think he could do a better job than McCain's actual campaign staff.
Now, if he had asked me . . .
IA has only been tracking Fauxbama over subsidies, not because they believe in the guy.. I had always hoped Iowan’s would realize this guy is too risky to vote in just over subsidies.
Lets face it, IA decided that DEAN was too weird for them, I had a hard time believing they wouldn’t come to realize that Fauxbama makes Dean look normal.
IA all comes down to whether voters there think their subsidies are more important than putting a socialist with hard left ties and history in the white house.
For a minute, I confused the title. Thank God. McCain’s dead even (with Obama) in Iowa. Great news! : )
