HUNTSVILLE, Texas Condemned killer Eric Nenno was the last person 7-year-old Nicole Benton saw when she was abducted, strangled and raped more than 13 years ago.
Her father was among the last people Nenno could have seen Tuesday night when the Texas inmate was executed for killing her and hiding her body in the attic of his home.
Nenno, however, refused to look at Buddy Benton, who stood close to the death chamber window that separated him from his daughter's killer. Nenno also ignored the child's uncle, Donald Benton, and the girl's grandfather, C.J. Bowles, who walked up to the glass to see Nenno, then turned around and stood at the back of the witness area.

Why did it take 13 years?
Liberalism...........
The State should allow surviving family the OPTION of pulling the switch/turning the valve THEMSELVES.
We have 2 a week scheduled for the next five weeks. Ron White said it best.
God bless Texas.
Why did it take 13 years?
I think this describes the pace of justice and speaks to the volume of cases clogging the courts.
Sounds like one less vote for Obama.
Good riddance to bad rubbish! How terrible that he was allowed to live 13 years. I have no sympathy or prayers for him, mine are reserved for the family of his victime(s).
More like an extra one -- he already sent his absentee ballot, now they get to cast another for his dead vote! </sarc>
Next!
GRRRRRREAT news! Thanks for posting.
Ron Wite’s quote...
“Im from Texas. In Texas we have the death penalty. And we USE it.
Thats right, if you come to Texas and kill somebody, we will kill you back. Thats our policy.
Theyre trying to pass a bill right now through the Texas Legislature that will speed up the process of execution in heinous crimes where theres more than three credible eye witnesses. If more than three people saw you do what you did, you dont sit on death row for 15 years, Jack, you go straight to the front of the line.
Other states are trying to abolish the death penalty my states puttin in an express lane.”
Good for Texas!! If Obama gets elected y’all can expect O will push to eliminate the death sentence nationwide. He would never kill a supporter, and lose a vote.
13 years should have been 13 days with monsters like this.
We in Texas need to get a clock that winds faster.
I am tired on feeding these people.
“Wright, who grew up in northern Kentucky, would be the 14th prisoner executed this year in the nation’s busiest capital punishment state, the second this week and fifth this month. Six more are set to die in November.”
If only the rest of the country followed this example, what a relief it would be to families of the victims.
