Are we living this already? A society where we can be electronically monitored and controlled by the goverment? I feared this was coming but did not know we were this close. This PBS Masterpiece drama is very good, but very frightening considering what may be coming soon...you can watch online and I would recommend it to any Freepers who don’t understand the power that a surveillance society can have over the individual. By tieing in all electronic ID devices to s central intelligence database, they can then turn off any thing, ATM cards, bank accounts, home utilities, cell phones. See episode 4.

Reclusive mathematician Stephen Ezard returns to England from China to attend the funeral of his brother Michael, an aid worker killed by a landmine in Afghanistan.
He finds a world that has changed — biometric ID cards are compulsory, public spaces are monitored 24 hours a day by digital cameras and armed police patrol the streets.
The next morning, Stephen is summoned to a meeting at the Inquirendo company to learn about their new Total Information Awareness (TIA) system. TIA is described as a super database that brings together all records on individuals and allows the government unlimited access to personal data.
So a maxed out Obama supporter suddenly approves a search on Joe the Plumber, who DARED to question The One, and there isn’t an elected ‘Rat in Ohio that sees anything wrong.
If Obama wins the election, NO ONE’s confidential information will be safe from the prying eyes of Big Brother O and his band of fanatical sycophants.
