Well, he wasn’t, was he?

What Abraham Lincoln Has To Say About Barack Hussein Obama

"What constitutes the bulwark of our own liberty and independence? ... Our reliance is in the love of liberty which God has planted in us. Our defense is in the spirit which prized liberty as the heritage of all men, in all lands everywhere. Destroy this spirit and you have planted the seeds of despotism at your own doors."

"Familiarize yourselves with the chains of bondage and you prepare your own limbs to wear them. Accustomed to trample on the rights of others, you have lost the genius of your own independence and become the fit subjects of the first cunning tyrant who rises among you."

Once again Lincoln proves prescient. Please share with your friends.

ROFL. My, the presumptuous and historical ignorance of Biden knows no bounds.

Further, a proper historical comparison would be Wilson or Carter. Wilson pursued a fascistic course, replete with his own brownshirts and a disgust for the antiquated Constitution, which limited the power of the government to ‘help’ the people. He thought the presidency’s power was excessively circumscribed by the Constitution. America’s entry into WWI allowed for him to push through much of his agenda for a time.

Carter would be an appropriate touchstone as well. Obama, if elected, will also have an unpopular Republican administration to thank for his election. Obama’s agenda is much like Carter’s in the context of the post-60s, liberal Democrat peacenik movement which views America as part of the problem, as opposed to older, pre-60s and pro-American liberals such as Truman.

There’s no comparison to Jefferson whatsoever. Obama’s aims are downright tyrannical. I think Jefferson would be aghast at the party which supposedly carries on his legacy.

Lincoln? Well, other than both starting their political careers in Illinois, I fail to see the similarity. Is Biden telling us that Obama is going to suspend habeus corpus in his first year in office (maybe that’s the surprise which awaits us)?

FDR? He brought his own fascist movement to the presidency, one which impressed Mussolini and Hitler. His policies, per many economists, are regarded as having extended the Great Depression far longer than it would have lasted.

Oddly enough, 3 of the 4 presidents he named helped to take this nation into major wars.

What made Lincoln so great was not the man himself...but what trials he had to go through. Lincoln had arrogant generals that didn't listen to him and he had to see thousands upon thousands of men being killed to preserve the union.

If Obama gets elected, he will not be tested like Lincoln - no matter what happens. All he is is someone with three years of experience in the Senate that did absolutely nothing!

Actually:
Thomas Jefferson wasn’t a Christian, but he was rabidly in favor of small government and individual liberty.

FDR bankrupted the country and changed our way of life and we’re still living with the consequences of his recklessness.

JFK was a dangerous choice in difficult times. His inexperience sparked off an international crisis and he provided zero leadership to help resolve the growing Vietnam war. But dying at an untimely age has a tendency to wipe out all the bad memories.

“”The defenders of the status quo have always tried to tear down those who would change our nation for the better,” Biden said.”

It looks like the change is to dump the Constitution.

These people are WAY scary.
