HONOLULU, Hawaii – Although the legitimacy of Sen. Barack Obama's birth certificate has become a focus of intense speculation – and even several lawsuits – WND has learned that Hawaii's Gov. Linda Lingle has placed the candidate's birth certificate under seal, and instructed the state's Department of Health to make sure no one in the press obtains access to the original document under any circumstances.

It was in reply to post # 13 (way up thread) and which I posted after reading only to that point. (I finally got to my post - whew!)
First, certainly we know that the Gov. of Hawaii is a good friend of Sarah Palin, and is a Republican. She spoke at the convention on Gov. Palin's behalf. So there can be no one saying that she is being partisan in this matter or acting on behalf of Obama and covering something for him, or for purely Democrat interests. Obviously, she is upholding the law there. The article does say there are "political reasons" but what are they since she is clearly not an Obama supporter? The reasons for sealing this document are the question, of course.
Second - If, indeed, there is nothing to hide...why hasn't Obama cleared this up long ago and presented it openly? I mean, folks, what has the big deal been? Did he purposely want the issue to fester and cause a frictional point so he could later say he was unfairly 'smeared' and therefore cause all of the other things being wondered about him to pale in light of finding out this issue was incorrectly questioned? Just because one fact was proven true, does not resolve the other questions. So, what was/is the motivation to keep this hidden? He was just there, what did he do or not do, about this issue while in Hawaii?
Third - If this issue is a non-issue, it doesn't mean all questions about Obama's background fall in the same category. It just adds to the suspicion of why he is so secretive about his history. And why so many people, of such capable resources and stature have had this question. Surely they have spent a lot of time and a lot of money just to be proven foolish. Why - there are plenty of other things to investigate, I believe. Something still does not 'smell' right, but who knows what it is. Fourth - The article also refers to the fact that in Kenya - all documents relating to Obama are sealed. What would those be that would contain something that should not be seen and required to be sealed? What is being hidden in Kenya that no one wants known? Why are there documents there anyway- other than the "typical stuff" - are there legal issues or something to hide? I was born in Pennsylvania. My Birth Certificate original is in PA, along with marriage/divorce records, educational records (perhaps), etc. the typical stuff. The only documents about me in Virginia I suspect are either related to tax records, or address records, my marriage certificate, or Dept. of Motor Vehicle records, etc. (Or, if I had a criminal record, those would be here also, I would guess, LOL - I don't know, I never asked what other types of records about me VA might have!) People who do research on ancestry and family history access those typical types of records all the time, aren't they usually open to the public? Maybe I am wrong. But, if Obama's "typical stuff" is in records in Kenya for the time he lived there, why have those been sealed? I never knew anyone having had their records in a Dept. of Vital Statistics, sealed. Maybe court records for criminals might be sealed, but what other records would be?
Fourth - Why would people of considerable resources and standing follow an issue that would end up making them look terribly foolish? Atty. Berg seems to have spent months on this matter, along with Jerome Corsi. Was their trail just following the fact that the Birth Certificate on Obama's website appears to be a fraud, and that a Kenya Grandmother claimed she witnesed the birth? That seems enough to question the issue, but to spend so much time and effort it seems that can't be all. I think they must have had other evidence to take this so far. I hope, if the Hawaiian Birth Certificate proves Obama was born there, that those who have taken us on this journey have something to dig themselves out of the hole.
This whole thing just does not make sense. Is there some other reason that Obama (and his family) do not want the original of this Birth Certificate to be seen? Is it some family matter about actual parentage or...WHAT?
I would tend to trust the governor of Hawaii and to rest assured she is doing the right thing. Relax.
Lemme see if I have the time lines right. Questions arise about BHO registering with the Selective Service System and his birth certificate during early summer 2008.
08/07/2008...BHO leaves for Hawaiian vacation
08/12/2008...Selective Service System spokesman says that BHO presented himself at a PO in Hawaii to register. (he doesn't say when) He goes on to say that BHO registered “with an EFFECTIVE date of 09/04/1980."
10/24/2008...BHO goes to Hawaii to visit ailing grandmother.
10/24/2008...Berg suit is tossed for “Lack of standing”. News of the suit starts to appear in MSM.
10/26/2008...Governor of Hawaii places Obama’s “official” birth certificate under seal.
Funny how things work out, eh? ---
Now just whn did Barry go to Pakistan? Afterall he supposedly registered for the draft in 1980 with an American Birth Certificate, but yet he travelled to Pakistan on which country;s passport?

Same reason she didn’t use it to get the nomination. She would have lost the votes of millions of BO supporters and thus the election while probably ruining her chances for 2012.
As for her getting the job instead of Biden, (if BO/JB should win the election), the electors are not bound & obligated to vote for Biden for President - only for VP.
Thus, she would have no problem in getting them to elect her as President and rescuing their ‘Democratic Party win’.
There would be very little racial riots because BO would have been seen by half of the dems as having betrayed them and by the other half as having almost gotten away with sticking it to ‘the man’ whiteys.
They have had various different forms and types of BCs over the years. One type can register a birth up to a year after a child is born.

Obama traveled to Pakistan at age 20 in the summer of 1981 on an Indonesian passport when the U.S. was not allowing its citizens to go to Pakistan. Obama traveled with a Pakistani roommate from Occidental College to Pakistan and stayed at that friend’s family home for three weeks. I believe he also traveled to india for a short time on the same trip.

Sorry to make you go into such a long reply, as I was asking the question rhetorically.
I have a question. If O’Stupid was born in Kenya, then what is Hawaii sealing? There has to be something there for them to seal doesn’t there?

Hawaii has a RINO governor who votes much like a typical Dem, and she was elected in a fluke. She ran a competative race against the last Governor when he got engulfed in scandals (in 1998), and then managed to get into office four years later (in 2002) when the Dems were foolish enough to run the tainted, sitting Lt. Governor for the job and voters got fed up with the same crooked machine.
I’m actually shocked to learn that a candidate for president is not vetted by the FBI and the Secret Service - once he’s a party’s nominee for the office.
Good grief - I’ve just seen a trailer for a new DVD called, “The Third Jihad”. Guess what the premise is ..?? It’s an Islamic take over of countries in the West - FROM THE INSIDE.
