Obama's mother at the time of his birth was only 18 years old and she couldn't transfer US citizenship to Obama because she was not 19 years old as the law states you must be. Obama s mother went to Kenya to "meet Obama senior'r family, but she did not mean to stay as long as she did and when she wanted to go back to the US to have Obama, no airline would let her board in her advanced condition. There is a record at Monbassa Provincial Hospital of the birth of a son named Barack Hussein Obama Jr. to a man Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. and an American woman. Obama's mother returned alone with Barack to Hawaii about 4 days after his birth on Aug. 4, 1961. (I don't believe she and Obama Sr. were ever married legally because when he got her pregnant he was already married by a tribal marriage and he had a son named George and a baby too), She wasted no time getting a "Certificate of Live Birth" in Hawaii and she placed the birth announcement in the newspaper. Obama's mother met another foreigner, an Indonesian man named Lolo Soetero (also a student at Univ of Hawaii). Lolo marries Obama's mother and he wishes to move the family back to his country of Indonesia. One hitch to this though, Obama's mother has no way to get Obama a passport to be able to go, so Soetero offers to adopt the boy legally. Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. becomes Barry Soetero by order of some magistrate in Hawaii and Obama's new step-father applies to the Indonesian government for a passport for his son, Barry. Obama's family moves to Jakarta, Indonesia where Soetero is from and Obama is enrolled in a muslim school as Barry Soetero whose father is Lolo Soetero and Barry is a muslim (this is all on a school record that has been discovered and circulated around on the web). Barry Soetero goes to another school later, a Catholic school, but he is still listed as muslim. Four years pass. In that time a sister Maya Soetero is born, but Obama’s mother and Lolo are not getting along. Barry is sent back to Hawaii by his mother to live with his maternal grandparents in Hawaii. She and Maya join him two years later. By then Barry has reverted to his original name of Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.
