Talk about your Western states shoot-out.
The California Republican Party is sending $3 million to neighboring states of Nevada and Colorado to help in last minute get out the vote efforts in the critical battlegrounds. That's $2 million to Colorado and $1 million to Nevada, we're told.

ROFLOL!!! Oklahoma/TX and other states have volunteers on the ground in CO and I heard UT/AZ are helping out NV. We have a ground game going as well as money!
The stakes are very high this year. Still, this is an unusual move, and a good one, too. I hope it pays off.
Thank you very much California. Glad you had money to spare for a fellow republican state.
It shows that that the GOP is alive and well and alive on the left coast.
Maybe on election day there might be a California surprise. Naw that could never happen with too many liberal rats.
Thanks California and Utah.
Great move.
..we can't beat 'em here but we can help beat 'em somewhere else...
Our revitalized donor programs have demonstrated enormous success and have been embraced by the Republican donor community. Our Team California major donor program together with our joint fundraising agreement with the RNC have generated the funds to implement the entire California Victory 2008 program, support party operations, and generated an additional $3 million in support for the Western battleground states of Nevada and Colorado.
For the final weekend push, the state Republican party is sending busloads of volunteers from Sacramento and Southern California to hit the Silver State streets this weekend.”

Surprising and very good news. Evidently Cali republicans think both these states are very winnable. Wasn’t it just this past week that it was reported the McCain campaign was cutting back on advertising in CO. These are two very important states we really need and I think CO will surprise many as it is not as blue as many seem to believe.
Yeah, they've done so well lately in OR WA and CA. Probably figured it would be better spent in CO and NV where at least it wouldn't be wasted effort..
The New Jersey Democrat Party, at least five New Jersey County Democrat Parties, over two dozen New Jersey based unions and get out the vote groups have ALL sent men, material and money to Pennsylvania for Democrat get out the vote efforts.
Seems like a disease spreading across the land.
Excellent!
There is surely no point wasting money in California.
A well-kept secret — hispanics aren’t drinking the Obama kool-aid.
Sorry, not true. It is a well known fact blacks and Hispanics get along wonderfully......heh..heh...
Is it possible the Republican ground game is actually solid, but lost to general perception in the fog of the Demo inevitability narrative? Just wondering. If so, Nov. 4 may prove to a Drudge shock poll. That would be cool,
I wish that I could be more optimistic. McCain has little chance in Colorado. A new poll released today has Obama with a 12 point lead. Colorado looks to be repeating the same pattern as 2006 when Ritter won by 15 points. I have voted for McCain and other Republicans but I am not optimistic about the results in Colorado.
We’ve been making telephone calls to registered Nevada voters from the McCain-Palin campaign headquarters here in Southern Cal. Good to talk to the Nevadans - nice people!
In '06 the Oregon GOP had to hire from a temp agency. I understand those who are 91 years old not being able to help. The rest of the people could at least call from home. Once Obama/Reid/Pelosi create all these new programs, they aren't going away. Public broadcasting and the Department of Education are things that should have been cut years ago but live on like a vampire.
They can send all the money to other states. Lord knows they’re not using it for anything here.
According to the lamestream media the GOP was giving up in Colorado! LOL! McCain was just here with John Elway and the press is trying to say McCain is giving up Colorado. Man, the press is dumb!
