Joe Wurzelbacher, a.k.a. "Joe the Plumber," said Friday he may consider running for Congress in 2010, challenging longtime Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D) in the Toledo-area district.
"I'll tell you what, we'd definitely be in one heck of a fight," Wurzelbacher said during an appearance on the Laura Ingraham show Friday, "but, you know, I'd be up for it."

Don’t live in Ohio, but would GLADLY contribute to Joe’s campaign.
He is well-spoken, intelligent and on the right side of the issues.

Agree.
The career politician is what has ruined this country.

The vision of the founding fathers for the House of Representatives was the “citizen politician”. A tradesman or businessman who put down his work, served a couple years in the House, then went back to his job.
I'm with Joe. If he starts a campaign I will send him $. A citizen politician financed by interested citizens.

As much as I love Joe, I think this would be a mistake. I remember many years ago in Rhode Island, a house painter named Ed St.Germain ran for Congress on a “regular guy theme” and won. He was eaten alive by the vultures in the House. He served one ignonimious term. It was painful to watch.

What about RockinRight, the low-man-on-the-totem-pole banker?
For the record, I had no more to do with current issues than Joe the Plumber had to do with my sink leaking...

I hope to God that this kick starts the citizen-politician. Not the career-politician. We could use Joe the Plumber in Congress. We could also use Jane the Hunter, Jill the Engineer, Tito the Construction Worker, and Alex the Brick Layer in Congress too.
They know what makes our country work. Not Joe the Six Term Senator.
Post of the day!

As a manager of a trucking company, former Georgia Rep. Mac Collins first ran in 1992 on the theme “Send a working man to Congress.” He then ran for the Senate in 2004, but lost the GOP primary to Johnny “Gang of 10” Isakson. In 2006, he challenged Dem. Rep. Jim Marshall, but was narrowly defeated (51-49).

Go go go!
Where’s Joe the Plumber running in NYC? I’d happily vote for him.
I’d run, but I made some good plans yesterday that should last a lifetime, if I don’t get killed during the discharge of my job.

Tommy the Carpenter, Tony the Auto Mechanic, Jack the Painter, Joe the Plumber...
Guys, let’s start a huge grassroots movement here. Get your 6-day worker, who does so-called “menial jobs that Americans don’t want to do,” and get them to run for Congress. They’ll most certainly clean house in DC.
I’m just psyched and happy because I’m starting to get high on energy drinks. Excuse me

'Joe the Plumber' Mulling Run for Congress
2010 will be a good year for republicans. So, he might even have an easy time in winning that seat.
For the last 2 years, congress under the democrats has been a disaster with nothing to show for their 2 years. With 2 more years and more catastrophes and the economy taking much bigger hits and the economy going into a deep recession or depression, the democrats won't be able to blame all of those problems on Bush or the republicans anymore. They will be held responsible for their socialism which will have killed the greatest economy in history. And, they will be removed, in huge numbers.
