Obama, who arrived on his campaign aircraft around 7:20 p.m., immediately traveled under police escort to the Punahou-area apartment of his grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, who is reportedly gravely ill with cancer.
After an hourlong visit, the Hawaii-born senator left for the Hyatt Regency Waikiki.
Obama expects to leave tonight and return to the campaign trail in Nevada tomorrow

FWIW one can break their hip *because* of cancer.
The cancer invades the bone of the hip, weakening it,
and the hip fractures.
Called a “Pathological Fracture”.
It is medically possible, FWIW.
Only an hour? I would have thought he would sit with her all night. (Like most people do with a dying relative.)
Just the way I am, but if it were my husband going to visit his dying grandmother, I’d want to be with him. Matter of fact, I’d INSIST on being with him.
We all question the veracity of the "article"; What info the "source" has been told to propagandize us with can not be believed.
Don’t drink the koolaide, grandma!
Not mutually exclusive....
The timing of this trip is suspicious indeed. That said, I have been informally polling my friends who are incredibly ignorant about anything beyond their own daily routines. When information is so easily obtained it appears to be practically worthless.
I would hope that somebody trustworthy is keeping close tabs on his whereabouts. I would expcet him to make a side trip to the state office that handles birth certificates, or have one of his surrogates pay them a visit. It wouldn't be too far-fetched to see him performing some dark-alley exchange of cash for an envelope containing a coveted document (like a manufactured birth certificate).

I hate it when they always refer to him this way!
Jeez they're easy to see through!
None of us are.
I thought Grandma was dead after Obama threw her under that bus of his?
This strikes me as odd. When ,many years ago my Mom was dying of cancer,we never left her side until the end. Maybe it is just me.
What a creep. I would have stayed with my dying grandmother. But no; The One sprints for the closest luxury hotal suite. Just another hypocritical Marxist a$$hole.
Lol, yeah - the reminder is cute. Of course if "Hawaii-born" is not mentioned, people might start actually believing 0bama might be "Kenya-born" or "Indonesia-born." IMPOSSIBLE! /sarc
Took him nearly a week of campaigning to get there, stays only an hour? Granny must not be that bad off.
LOL
Blessings for Mrs Dunham. God Bless her, Ms. Soetoro and Grandson Barack.
A hip injury at her age can be life threatening, the bodily systems can be overtaxed and start to shut down.
How unfortunate for Senator Obama if his blessed Mother should expire one week before the election? In 2000, Mel Carnahan running for US Senate for Missouri died in a plane crash, incumbent John Ashcroft suspended his campaign, the sympathy was so overwhelming that his widow was elected a week later.
I suppose the Hawaii Supreme Court might also not act out of sympathy on the birth certicate issue out of sympathy, just as the Missouri courts dubiously allowed Mel Carnahan votes to go to Senator Jean Carnahan.
It would be so tragic if she might expire like Marilyn Monroe in 1962 by a prescription enema applied after she was so friendly and close to those nice Kennedy brothers.
I hope there is someone in Honolulu or Washington DC like Daniel Patrick Moynihan the weekend of Nov 22-24, 1963, who warned at the highest decibels that Lee Harvey Oswald needed immediate Federal protection because he knew someone might pierce the Dallas police days after a visitor from a foreign land administers his special brand of healing
..
Im afraid Ms. Dunham will leave us in a few days, maybe Oct 26, the birthday of both Ms. Dunham and Hillary Rodham Clinton.....
Those were my exact thoughts.
I wonder if his girls have even spent time with their Grandma Obama. I wonder if they know she’s white?
Is he doing a Johnny Fairplay?
Is the the Hyatt Regency Waikiki nice ?
