You want some fries with that?
I’ll stick with the antediluvian diet.
If I understand the authour, true human health food is in the kill it and grill it food group? I can do that.
I guess it is because when we eat meat, our body’s enzymes and immune system go into effect, making sure that any toxins that the meat might is fought off. So in eating meat all the time, our immune system is always on high alert, thereby not exposing us to diseases as easily.
Tonight’s dinner at the Miltie household:
Grilled Silver Salmon with gorgonzola, walnuts, sliced pears and sherry
Brown Rice
Apple, Pear, Strawberries
Sauvignon Blanc
Chocolate chip cookies and milk for dessert while Freeping.
“We’re a carnivorous species - our gut is identical to that of a big cat.”
Wrong. Our teeth, hands and gut are more similar to primates, who gather, chew, digest and thrive on plant foods.
That’s it then: Ruth’s Chris for breakfast, lunch and dinner from now on!
Must explain why we are living longer than ever.
Maybe this is why Sarah looks so good.
Primates are omnivorous.
I'm on Jenny Craig and it drives me crazy when I have to drive past the In-N-Out.
Vegetarians, Vegans and the ilk all seem to drop dead before 60. Someone interviewed over a hundred Centenarians (100 years old or more) ... there wasn’t a Vegetarian among them.
Wish I could afford RuthsChris 3 times a day!!!
Look at the dog teeth in your head. They are made for ripping meat. This old cowboy knows that.
yes
The kill it n grill it cafe is always open.
I don’t know of any primates in their natural, wild environs that hunt other animals. They all live on fruits, berries, roots, leaves, tubers, and insects. Any exceptions would be interesting to know.
He’s wrong about fruits and grains. We MUST have carbs in our diet. Meat has no carbs, nor do vegetables.
If we don’t eat carbs, which the body converts into sugars, the liver produces sugar from the bodies’ protein stores (muscle tissue) which is NOT a good thing to have your liver do. It always produces too much, which is stored as fat around the gut.
The fructose in fruits is not dangerous, he’s got it backwards, table sugar cane sugar and sucrose (corn syrup) is what dangerous. it is rapidly absorbed, sending blood sugar levels spiking, causing the pancreas to work hard to produce insulin to convert it to energy. The excess is stored as fat all over the body around the muscle tissue.
Eating too much of these types of sugars, besides making you fat all over, causes the pancreas to work too hard. eventually it just gets ‘tired’ and no longer produces enough insulin to keep blood sugar levels stable. This is when people turn into type 2 diabetics.
If you are fat around the gut, you are a type 2 diabetic and probably don’t even know it.
A simple A1C test will tell you if you are, or are getting close to being one. It is a gradual process.
Sounds like a fine spread! Good for you!
As I study things as see my reaction to various stuff, I’m totally convinced it’s not so much what you eat as what you don’t.
Almost all Americans need more Vitamin C. We need more magnesium. We need more potassium. And lysine. Eggs have been routinely slandered over their cholesterol, yet eggs have the single best combination of proteins on the planet.
There are essential nutrients, that if you are short in, nothing else can take their part. And you will slowly disintegrate unless you get them.
