Look at post #76. Another very close resemblance.
“I wonder how this strategy of calling voters racists will work out for 0bama. It cant work in his favor.”
Sure it can. This election is about “sticking it to the man,” and some see themselves as being “oppressed” like the black man. Obama has done a brilliant job of selling despair to the American voters.
WTF
BTTT
Anyone know if the MSM has covered this?
It surely doesn't help when the Dems falsely accuse the Republicans of racism during the campaign and the media gives it coverage, yet the media is silent when the Dems actually say racist things.
Yeah WV, vote for someone who will close your coal mines.
Pray for W, McCuda and Our Freedom Fighters
Excellent observation. My own son is a big-time union member of one of the most powerful unions in the US. He makes excellent money, has incredible benefits, he's good at his job but he probably couldn't be fired even if he were awful - but he believes all is lost, things are hopeless, he's barely going to be able to make it, the "rich" need to be punished, the government needs to control everything and make it better, etc.
He gets all this stuff from the union and the Dem environment in which he moves. Somehow they have instilled sullen resentment and hopelessness and dependency in people who have absolutely no reason for it. We had an enormous argument over this, and afterwards I realized that somehow, he really does regard himself as being at the bottom of the heap and he believes that it was the "rich," whoever they are, who put him there. And he's not the only one. Picture hundreds of thousand of white trade union members, many of them earning over $100,000 per year, who have somehow improbably come to identify with the sullen, alienated black uncerclass - it boggles the mind.
Ping for link. I will get it to a morning, statewide radio show here in WV.
We are getting ads here in WV that say McCain voted against coal on some bill back in 2003. I have no details of this bill so any help to dispute this would be welcome.
Oh, I get it. Bush’s problem is that he has a white skin. And all white skinned persons are Bush.
I don’t expect deep thinking out of a Democrat.
What percent of WV voters follow “Big Labor”s direction? Maybe 33 percent?
I have been reading that WV people are swinging toward Oprah’s Obama because they dislike Republican “economic policies”, whatever those policies actually are.
OMG!
GAFFTISTIC!!!
That guy just delivered WV to McCain.
“What percent of WV voters follow Big Labors direction? Maybe 33 percent?”
From a video I watched of a large union crowd in WV, the union workers appear to be almost exactly split down racial lines. Blacks (and a few other folks) are for Obama. The majority of those who are not black or very young are for McCain.
“Anyone know if the MSM has covered this?”
I saw the report as a live interview of Perdue and an anchorman in the late afternoon on CNN on cable yesterday.
I have not seen it repeated (for obvious reasons).
