Methinks perhaps the DBM knows something more than they're reporting?

Wup. It's time for the first "is it time to scrap the electoral college" article.
First of many, I should say.

Obviously this means they believe “The 0” is going to lose the electoral college but might win the popular vote.

The answer is no. Though it might be a salutory reform to force all states to go onto the Maine/Nebraska system.

The DemocRATs would love to scrap the Electoral College, since they would never lose another Presidential Election.
Of course, they would love to scrap the entire U.S. Constitution.

...The system is a relic of the early days of the republic when electors were supposed to be independent agents exercising their judgment in choosing a presidential candidate from a list of several contenders. INCORRECT! It's a relic of a time when states were actually their own little republics, or commonwealths. A time when the Union was a Union of free, independent states. A time when the Fed gubmint was thought to only be responsible for those collective tasks enumerated in the Constitution that required a united purpose. In short, it's from a time when the Constitution meant something.

Here it comes again. If Obama gets in with a dem supermajority in both houses of congress you can expect a big push to get a constitutional amendment pushed out to the states.

#1—Getting us ready for BO to rid us of the pesky Electoral College? —or— #2-Nervous about a BO loss via college but winning in the popular vote? Scenario #2 will help the media realize their dream of stores, cars and city streets ablaze on Nov. 5.

Just what we need - a few populous states dictating to the rest of the country who’s to be president. The EC was instituted for the purpose of preventing that scenario.
