For those of you that don't live in a swing state, I hope this report will make you feel like you were here cheering Governor Palin on right along with me!
First I want to share a few pictures from "Your Country Deserves Better" Stop Obama Tour, that stopped in Denver yesterday evening.
It would have been great to have had a bigger crowd, but we had an awesome time.
I met FReeper mtngrandpa and his wife, and FReepers Syncro and impeach98 who are fortunate enough to be traveling with the tour bus. These are three hard working FReepers, doing what they can to help defeat Obama, and I thank them for all their efforts!
Rush calls him a man-child, but that doesn't quite describe him to my satisfaction. I'll let you know when I come up with something. ;o)
Glad you enjoyed the comment!
Oh, as for cost? Not much... a one hour round trip drive, and six hours of my time....and I had the time of my life! ;o)
.
Thanks for the ping!
Hank Williams Jr., all riiiiiiiight:-)
Per your tag line...Maybe Powell and Kerry can start a club, and invite Murtha to join them as well! They can be the Officers, and there are many right there in DC that are qualified to join.
And another word about your son:
I'll bring him with me next time I come to DC and he can FReep with us outside of Walter Reed! ;-)
Thanks for the ping, Jan. I had missed this thread.
oh, look at Trig....what a little chubbo he is! I LOVE him!
Jan, I have two daughters in college. One of them is a freeper, too! They would kill me if I tried to hook them up. LOL! They were homeschooled when we were in the states.
Hi! Just wanted to make sure you and all the other Colorado Freepers knew about this upcoming events. You could post them on your State FR Board for others to see. Check the McCain/Palin web site for details :)

The Budweiser Event Center holds 10000 people, and it was almost full. (The various security agencies didn't get their act together in time, so that everyone could get a seat.) There was somewhere between 3000 - 4000 people still outside (neighborhood of 14000 total) in a small town like Loveland. So how many is Biden pulling, do you think?
I never heard any numbers on him, did you?

I'll have to check and see if I can get away to go to that one.
What do you think, Vince?
...AND THEY WERE WAITING TO SEE JOHN McCAIN!
I was one of those who had tickets, waited in line and had the doors shut when I was getting very close.
No big deal....they kept the overflo folks entertained and provided audio...
..and then McCain, Cindy made a point of coming out our side of the building and went through a rope line so we wouldnt miss out.
Thousands.....for John McCain.
We were told they would be back....with Sarah.
I guess I need to find out if my brother was in that line! I'm glad to hear that John and Cindy came out to talk to those in line.
I really do wish that they would hold these rallies at larger venues!
...the line still waiting to get in when they shut the doors was still quite long.
So as we're waiting in line, a McCain worker said because the interest was so good, they would return & bring Sarah next time....
..well, they better hurry!....we have less than 2 weeks...
Our town's largest venue is the baseball stadium....
...4 years ago, with Bush, it was full to capacity.....Bush landed in his helicopter!...right on the grounds.
Yes, I know where Indialantic is.....a lovely area.
As you probably know, Melbourne area is retired & active military & also lots of engineers (usually very conservative) and space workers....very conservative.
btw, I've lived in Florida almost 35 years, but my 2nd favorite place is Colorado...LOVE Colorado....lived there for months at a time when my husband was contracted there on business.....Highlands Ranch & Westminster.
BTW, I was born and raised in Miami, Florida and lived in Florida until I graduated college (Florida State---Go Seminoles) ;o)
My grandparents and father lived in Melbourne and Indialantic and the rest of my family live in Miami.
I enjoy visiting Florida, but I love living in Colorado!
I didn't realize Melbourne was conservative, I'm really happy to hear that.
Has Gov Crist been campaigning for McCain? He was every where for a while, and now I never see him. I really believe he is the reason McCain won Florida!
As far as Crist is concerned, I can't help you there.
I'm not a Crist fan, didn't vote for him, and stay away from news about him.
And I enjoy visiting Colorado, but I love living in Florida :)
What a contrast though....flat Florida and the majestic mountains of Colorado....truly beautiful.
On weekends, when we were there, we would take off up I-70 and just drive......
He pulled 4000 in Greeley yesterday. Governor Palin is outdrawing him 3-1, at least here in Colorado.
