Were there conservatives who actually thought Powell was one of “us”/”them”/whatever?

It's all about giving the Left another stick to beat us with. "See, see -- even BUSH people are for Obama!" (nevermind the fact that for years they called Powell "Uncle Tom"; you won't hear the media remind of you of that, either)

I agree with your dad. If Irritaible-Colon Powell had endorsed McCain, I doubt there would be much difference. It would have made me yawn, and I have the same reaction to his endorsing obammy (albeit with some disgust).

I read he prefers his name pronounced Colin like Call-in; so I’ve always pronounced it Colon....My hubby asked me why one time, several years back...and I said because you’re colon is full of crap and so is Colon Powell. Hubby reminded me of that yesterday.
