Were there conservatives who actually thought Powell was one of “us”/”them”/whatever? It's all about giving the Left another stick to beat us with. "See, see -- even BUSH people are for Obama!" (nevermind the fact that for years they called Powell "Uncle Tom"; you won't hear the media remind of you of that, either)

I hope that our side isn’t that emotional that they decide to let this convince them not to vote. If anything, I hope this lights another fire under our rumps to get out and vote ...early, and as often as Mickey Mouse can. ;)
