I picked up on his double standard about experience also.

'I would have difficulty with two more Republican appointments to Surpeme Court'...

So, let me get this straight, General... You're not in favor of stacking the deck in America's favor?

And to think... I actually admired you back in the day.

Well , rethink this.

IT looks like he is telling America that Obama is a Muslim.
HE is also saying that Obama lacks the skill to be pres thus the surrounding of experience.

Now, tell me, what would happen if the great one had to make a decision on his own?

I’ll tell you.... another great muslim blunder!!!!

And America wants to have that???

“Its not about race”....the hell it isn't. From his earliest days as a 2nd Lt, Powell has always been a politician first and soldier second. Through his entire career he never chose honor over affirmative action privilege even when he knew he was promoted over more deserving peers. He was a failure as a Secretary of State, relying on out right bribery, at the expense of the American tax payer, over actual diplomacy. This old soldier would not salute him if he wrapped himself in the flag, lit himself on fire and jumped off the Statue of Liberty.

This is not the same man who fought for his country and who was DOD Chief of the Joint Staff.

As has already been pointed out his reasoning is contradictory if not downright fallacious. I wonder if his capacity to think is impaired or someone has been able to put pressure on him.

So sad. Many of us military types were very proud of him. I’ll always respect his military service to this country. But his endorsement of the Marxist Onada does nothing to change my mind about voting for McCain. Gad zooks. He had nothing cogent to say at all. Just parroting demrat talking points.

Doesn’t have any idea who the Marxist Onada is. That means he hasn’t even troubled himself to be informed. Gen. Powell is obviously not the man he once was.

In other words, Powell decided based on race.

What a flippin doughhead Powell is.
Obama has spent his whole life surrounded by radicals and people who burn with resentment and hate for this country, including his wife. How can you expect it to be any different once he takes office?

So now the ‘progressives’ drop the moniker for Powell ‘house negro’ of ‘Uncle Tom’....
Well, we judge a man by his character, so much for Colin Powell’s character. Country first.

“Powell is desperately trying to justify what is basically a racist decision..........”

Yep. He has no basis for that statement. I just have to wonder how this perfume princess got to an Army general. Are all the others wached, too?

"Skin First Country Second"

So it seems. A question popped into my head this morning regarding Clarence Thomas and blacks dismissing him. My question then was: What if the Republican ticket were say J.C. Watts or Michael Steele and the Democratic ticket was a couple liberal white guys? As young, 'clean' well-spoken, liberal-socialist-big-government-Marxists as Obama.

Would the blacks still choose the Democrat over a conservative Republican black? As Snerdley says 'certified black enough' OR, dismiss him as a 'sell-out' Uncle Tom or whatever they use...

One has to wonder whether Powell's endorsement is a plant by the GOP.

Why would he highlight to cultural conservatives that Obama will put a couple of extreme leftist judges on the USSC?

I know that he is not a plant. My question, which was rhetorical, was intended to point out the stupidity of some of those who reach high office.
