Powell endorsed Obama..go figure :)No cares. Good riddance.
Excellent discussion on weekend F&F now. Bringing up Powell’s remarks outside NBC. Powell says he’s upset with the “negativity of the campaign” and calling Obama a Muslim and bringing up Ayers. F&F taking Powell apart saying McCain never said those things. condemned them, and took one person to task about calling O an Arab. They bring up the negativity of Obama supporters calling Palin unspeakable things. Now have a Black columnist named Deroy Murdock, young conservative, talks sense about economics. Wow, where has he been hiding!
Of course, everything bad is Bush's fault.
So Uncle Colin says it’s cool to be on the Obama Plantation?
So what? Do you really think this endorsement will bring in even a single vote for The One at this stage of the campaign?
“He gave his entire life to the country”?
Don’t think so! I would rather say that THIS COUNTRY (USA)gave him everything and he finally betrayed it!
As OSAMABAMA and friends american-haters want to weaken USA...How should we call POWELL’s choice?
However - the media will saturate the airwaves with this news as though it is a real turning point in the campaign,a total rejection of the Bush policies and, Republican's in general.
I always thought we should have made media bias an issue months ago by challenging every lib question on the cable and Sunday shows and standing up to the libs asking them. It's still not too late to do this but - I doubt we will.
You are full of baloney
She won’t. Even though she is pretty pissed at Cheney. She is actually a conservative. As opposed to Powell who has always been a centrist.
This is not a surprise and has nothing to do with race/ skin color imo.
Good riddance?
How can you say that, when he never was one of "us", a conservative.
He's a shameless afrocentric liberal RINO POS.
I agree that the Lord Obama is a great divider, not a great uniter. I disagree that we are heading toward a race war, unless Lord Obama loses that is. I do think we are headed toward an ideological war that will be more polarizing than anything we've seen since the War Between the States. At some point people are going to wake up and realize what happened.
Massively astute.
Everything bad is not BUSH’s fault but his 2d term ,with C.RICE...,was very weak paving the way for OSAMABAMA’s thugs
and croocks
Not if your opinion is dangerous - THAT doesn’t make America great - it puts her in danger.
GWB endorse Obama?
THAT would be a master campaign stroke!
It might be dishonest, but I would love it.
“I was wondering who would govern like I do - cronyism, spend lots, handing out money - and then I figured it out. Obama’s my man, and I hope all the supporters of my administration will vote for him...”
No.
So did Weasely Clark.....both had “jobs’ with the military. And Powell had a “job’ with the Government after that. And now he is looking for antoher “job”... a cabinet post? that way he doesn’t have to “give ‘ too much , but Get A LOT!
Thank you! Does Mr. Powell have a conflict of interst here? Does he have a financial stake in Obama winning (Ifill’s book)?
See Post 170 for more insight to the truth.
I agree. But it is more than Race. It is also a culture/class war....the entitlement class vs the working class.
I have no idea but he just put the dagger in the back of his so called “friend.” Did Powell say anything nice about McCain? Not that it matters.
Bush also gets credit for handling The War on Terror...no attack in 8 years...well, I guess we just should —and do—ignore that.
