ACORN has friends in high places.
Barack Obama's campaign is --strangely enough-- demanding that a special prosecutor look into the investigations of the massive vote fraud that is being perpetrated by the radical group ACORN to determine if the investigations are politically motivated. The New York Times reports:
Seeking to portray law enforcement investigations into reports of fraudulent voter registrations in several states as an extension of the controversial firings of United States attorneys, the Obama campaign on Friday called for a review by a special prosecutor.Given that Obama goes way back with ACORN, this attempt at misdirection is particularly audacious and clever. People who don't track these issues closely may be fooled.Bob Bauer, general counsel for the Obama campaign, sent a letter to Attorney General Michael B. Mukasey and Special Prosecutor Nora R. Dannehy, who is investigating the attorney firings, requesting that Ms. Dannehy also look into the whether F.B.I. investigations of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or Acorn, were politically motivated.
In a conference call with reporters on Friday, Mr. Bauer suggested that there was “an unholy alliance of law enforcement and the ugliest form of partisan politics.”
“There is ample reason for us to be concerned about Republican involvement and we believe this ought to be included in the special prosecutor’s mandate,” Mr. Bauer said.
My FRiend, he wants an investigation into those who want ACORN investigated.
From what I've seen, Crist is a bit of a RINO and represents much of what's been wrong with the Republican party for the last several years.

Crist gave felons the right to vote when he was inaugurated. Crist did only one thing as Fla AG. He solved an easy to figure out 50 yr old civil rights case. In St. Pete where Crist is from there is a radical group known as the Uhurus. Maybe they vote for him or something. Crist is similar to Obama only had more job titles as a figurehead.
Clearly those people don’t understand the difference between more money and more profit. These people have become experts in word mining. You cannot take anything they say at face value, you have to examine every word very closely.

Obama is leaving himself open by trying to defend ACORN. How can he distance himself from ACORN and defend it at the same time?

Yes I realize that. What I meant was instead of calling for an investigation of those who want ACORN investigated, one would think ....if Obama was on the up and up which we know hes not......Obama would also want ACORN investigated because of all the problems they have been reported with.
I want an investigation of the people investigating the people investigating ACORN to see if THAT is politically motivated.
This is what happens when democrats control house and Senate, they can tie up any effort to investigate and prosecute the criminals the democrats depend upon to cheat the elections. If the Senate or House starts an investigation with a ‘special prosecutor’ all other agencies are blocked from finding out anything, so the democrats control what gets exposed. The demcorat party is a criminal enterprise. Period

I had to read the headline twice. Looks like another crack in the hard shield protecting Obama’s true identity is starting to allow more revelations.
Question is: Why did Crist try to downplay ACORN in Florida and their effect.

This is the story and history of liberalism in America. Constantly ridicule conservatives and republicans for their belief in family values but eviscerate them when they show human failings just like anybody else - including liberals. But these same human failings are completely forgiven or excused when it is one of their own liberals who are at fault. But conservatives and republicans on the other hand are tarred and feathered for life. Ever since the far left hijacked the democratic party in the final years of the Clinton presidency, they have gotten worse - more radical, more extreme than even any far right conservative. There is no personal attack, no slander, no libel, no insult, no character assassination that is out of bounds or beneath them or off limits for them. And they have no shame, no conscience. They are beneath contempt. This is precisely why I have absolutely no use for liberals whatsoever. Whether it is the nationwide voter fraud issue of ACORN and their affiliated subsidiaries to the vast liberal media insulating Obama from any close scrutiny, examination or investigation of Obama’s background, his history or his many questionable unsavory associations including but not limited to the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, the unrepetant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, the slum king of Chicago Tony Rezko, the minister Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam and many many others too numerous to list here. The far left is now in control of a once great party, the party of Harry S. Truman and John F. Kennedy, and these two great past democratic presidents would not even be welcome in the party today for they would show the same kind of independent streak as exhibited by Joe Lieberman and Zell Miller among others. I feel very sad for the democratic moderates and conservatives that still remain a part of the party for they have little or no voice and in fact are all too often now shouted down and ridiculed just as much as republican conservatives are now by the far left.
Rachel on MSNBC is spinning ACORN and laying about it, trying to make anyone who goes after voter fraud as the bad guys and those wanting to hide voter fraud as the good guys.
OMG obama is going to tear this country apart just like every other rabble-rouser such as his cousin odinga.
