"Pinch yourself – a Marxisant* radical...on the verge of becoming President of the United States"

You have to pinch yourself – a Marxisant* radical who all his life has been mentored by, sat at the feet of, worshipped with, befriended, endorsed the philosophy of, funded and been in turn funded, politically promoted and supported by a nexus comprising black power anti-white racists, Jew-haters, revolutionary Marxists, unrepentant former terrorists and Chicago mobsters, is on the verge of becoming President of the United States. And apparently it’s considered impolite to say so.

If it happens, America has lost its way and we have to face that and deal with it.

'Marxisant'? Hmmm ... Did Melanie just coin a new word? Actually, I kind of like it. It somehow sounds more derogatory than 'Marxist' or 'Marxian'.

Had to do a little digging myself to get a definition, but that French term of art is all over the place out there.

Marxisant

The French have a great adjective: marxisant.  If you look it up in Larousse you are told that it means “that which tends toward Marxism,” but so bald a definition doesn’t capture the connotative flavor of the word.  To be marxisant is to be vaguely but ostentatiously leftist, as a form of class display.  It means to affect a faux-radical style, and to spout a half-baked Gramscian jargon that identifies you as politically cool and adversarial.  It’s a way to be hip and trendy while hanging out at the Sorbonne.

In France if you are marxisant you wear a black turtleneck, you shave only every few days, you discuss Sartre at great length in bistros, and you kiss the feet of every decrepit soixante-huitard whom you encounter.  As for Marx and Lenin, well—you haven’t actually read them, but you know they are profoundly important, and you’ll quote them on occasion.  Being marxisant isn’t an intellectual position.  It’s a social posture, designed to indicate that you are a member of an upscale elite.

Such a great description of European ‘beatniks’. I will have to start using the term Marxisant.

Pathetic elitists, the lot of them!

Well the capital “M” Marxists don’t claim him. Could be a head fake I guess.

But would an Obama presidency mean any fundamental change? As we have explained many times before, people see in Obama what they want to see. He has very carefully and skillfully used lofty language to appeal to Americans’ deep-seated desire for change, while committing himself to very little when it comes to social programs, jobs, etc. On the other hand, he has been very specific in making it clear to the ruling class that with this or that cosmetic change, it will be “business as usual” under his administration. Look no further than his foreign policy, which while couched in more diplomatic language, remains the same imperialism of Bush and McCain.

And as for all those social programs he has hinted at? In an interview with NBC, speaking on the colossal costs of the Wall Street bailout, he had this to say: “Does that mean I can do everything that I’ve called for in this campaign right away? Probably not. I think we’re going to have to phase it in.”

In other words, “don’t hold your breath.” But in a political system dominated by two right wing parties of the ruling class, what can we do? The WIL has endorsed Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente’s “Power to the People” campaign.

Isn’t that scary?
I have been saying this myself since the educational system was taken over in the 1960s.

The World Center was attacked on 9-11-01 as you all know well. I also remember the rallying cry being that of, "we will never forget".

Less than 10 years from that day, America has forgotten, and people want to elect some Marxist to the presidency who has ties with terrorists. Unbelievable.

What the hell is wrong with people?

The Internet.

We cannot do without it, but unfortunately, we are now seeing it at its worst, as it has tottaly replaced independent thought and real human interaction.

It's not that we "forgot" because we never learned who or how our enemies switched to attacking America from within.

That’s why we started out as a Republic: The Founders didn’t
trust “rule by the masses”: Witness the French Revoulition.

“We the Living” does a great job illustrating the hopelessness one would encounter living in a marxist state. For this reason, it’s a thoroughly dark book.

no parallels, the cultimation of the plan, I believe Obama was groomed from an early age by very rich leftist to be at the helm of our political system at this pont in time, I do not believe what we are going through is incidental but rather deliberate.
