Impeachment law has to be dusted off (603,413 Signatures needed to Impeach Brunner)
The Columbus Dispatch ^ | May 6, 2008 | Mark Niquette and Jim Siegel

Posted on 10/18/2008 1:48:27 AM PDT by dalight

Under Ohio's constitution and laws, there are two ways to remove a statewide elected official: impeachment by the legislature, or through a complaint signed by at least 603,413 qualified electors that is filed and tried in court.

The constitution says an officeholder can be impeached "for any misdemeanor in office," but that doesn't necessarily refer to a crime, said Steven F. Huefner, an associate law professor at Ohio State University, and Steven H. Steinglass, a law professor and dean emeritus at Cleveland State University. Rather, "misdemeanor" in this context refers more generically to any misdeed, and that ultimately is defined by the General Assembly, they said.

"And an undeniable fact telling Americans that the election is being stolen and that may be enough to save us.

Probably not but if Obama wins this election I'll predict that there will be one huge case of buyers remorse in the nation and within 18 months a movement to impeach but the congress will be controlled by the wrong party. Sadly, with voter fraud becoming an acceptable way of doing business nothing will change when it comes time to change the congress. I sure hope I'm wrong. Vote like your life depends on it, it very well may.

Call Bill Cunningham’s show.

You are right. But, it would be awesome if Bill came up on the air on Monday pushing this. Does anyone know how to contact Bill Cunningham? That he will actually read?

“This article was written about our Attorney General who had to be removed for being an open criminal and now another official elected at the same time has betrayed the public confidence with open defiance of the law.”

It is believed that George Soros poured large sums of money into critical state’s elections of Attorney Generals and state’s top election officials. Brunner may owe her soul to the Marxists. I hope you get all the signatures required and then some.

It turns out that I know my state rep pretty well.. but this has to be done by the petition approach or it will just get mired in talking for too long, even with the best of intentions.

This is a very interesting thought. Pretty much all of the state offices were swept by Democrats in 2006 and they were well financed.. but the sea change had much to do with the Ohio Republican party being a mess in 2006.

As several folks have said... Sarah energized the base like nothing anyone has ever seen.

Yea.. I was shocked that I brought it up.. because I was wondering if Brunner could be recalled and found no way.. and in the search was this weird article that specified just exactly how something dramatic could be done that had political power and be used to sway voters even as we are visiting homes and knocking on doors.

Yep.. this is why after thinking about it I decided he might be a good guy to push this idea.. as well as some of the others mentioned. I just wish I knew someone who actually knew him so this could get to him before Monday.
