I predict Powell will endorse the Marxist squirrel — it’s a race thang, doncha know.
If Powell does come out for McCain and helps put McCain over the top with Independent voters, Powell will be more reviled in the “black community” than he ever thought possible. He will be viewed as the ultimate “race traitor” by most, and “Uncle Tom” will be the mildest term used for him.
I’d love to see the endorsement, not b/c I concern myself with Powell’s political preferences but b/c it really could make a difference, such a prominent black bucking the Obamessiah cult.
Still, I would not be surprised to see Powell go for Obama despite his donations. Powell just danced on a London stage with the loathsome Kanye West, after all. It is far from clear to me that Powell is resistant to the race-based hysteria at this point. He just said (in London) how important it was to continue identification as “African Americans” into the coming generations. Someone thinking along those lines right now is not so likely to resist the siren songs of the Obamanation.
If he backs McCain, they'll note "ANOTHER George W. Bush/McCain" connection, and the story will be at the bottom of the newscast just before the weather wrap-up on the 6 o'clock news.
Get ready for the media and Obamanation to call Powell a Uncle Tom if and when he endorses McCain/Palin...
Oh my, wonder what they’ll say about him...a racist. Wonder how they’ll crucify him?

My opinion, no. I wonder if this will work. I have to post it to find out.
I would certainly hope he would endorse John Sidney McCain for president. General Powell was CJCS under both George H.W. Bush and William J. Clinton. Certainly he must realize that an Obama administration would make even the most conservative person see President Clinton as better than a President Obama. He saw what a Clinton presidency did to the military. Obama will be a magnitude worse. He will decimate our military strength and readiness to fund his give aways.
I can understand the desire of anyone Black to want to get a feeling of “affirmation” by seeing someone Black elected as POTUS. I sympathize with them on that. Barrack Hussein Obama just isn’t the one to fulfill that dream. After several years of him “leading” the nation will be in shambles and he will be hated by everyone (Black & White) because he will not and cannot deliver on his rhetorical promises and he will get us attacked again in another 911 or worse.
If General Powell cannot see this, and endorses Barrack Hussein Obama over John Sidney McCain, then in my thinking he has dishonoured the uniform he wore and the country he served. In my thinking he will be a traitor, meriting what that entails. He will forever lose any respect I held for him as a senior officer in the Army.
If he has an inclination to support Obama verses McCain, then he would do well to keep it to himself and stay publically neutral. I could deal with that. This actually would be the smartest tactic even if he supports McCain. The press will crucify General Powell if he endorses McCain. The man can’t win.
For being a military man, he sure acts like a coward.
I hope you are right.
I love an optimist ;o)
Stirring the pot to deflect from criticism of attacks on JTP?
Colin Powell expected to endorse Obama
Bush's former secretary of state and friend of McCain said to back Democrat
The london times online says:
Powell may endorse Obama in TV interview
General Colin Powell, the former Secretary of State, is preparing for a live TV interview tomorrow amid intense speculation that he is ready to endorse Barack Obamas campaign.
The Irish Times says:
Powell Support
FORMER US secretary of state Colin Powell is expected to use a high-profile television appearance tomorrow to end months of speculation by throwing his support behind Barack Obama.
I just don't see him endorsing Obama despite his obvious heartfelt wish to do so.
I hope I am correct!
Like the rest of the racist: Got’a vote for a brother.
Let’s not forget, the Surge is the embodiment of the Powell Doctrine.
I’m sure that it must have been a highly coveted and influential slot with only three shows until the election, did he just call them up and ask for it?
Which leads me to another point that should be made... How many people in America don't make up their minds simply because they want to vote for the winner on election day and be part of that scene rather than cast a vote for the loser?
That probably goes a long way in explaining the MSM BS polls and why this point is never talked about. I am certain there is a sizable percentage of “undecideds” who vote in this way. Idiots.
If Powell indeed endorses McCain I will be flabbergasted. After Powell’s turnaround on Iraq (he said that it’s based on lies, a failure, we are losing etc.) I wonder how he is going to justify his reversal... what will he say about the Surge? Powell is an opportunist, but if he returns to the good side, well it’s going to be interesting.
