Smerconish: I'm for Obama (Bye-Bye RINO)
Philly.com ^ | 10/17/08 | Mike Klein

Posted on 10/17/2008 4:47:28 PM PDT by pissant

Michael Smerconish lit up the phone lines and filled his in-box this morning at his WPHT show with word that he's planning to vote for Barack Obama -- marking the first time since he registered to vote 28 years ago that he'll pull the Democrat lever for president.

He'll explain all in his Sunday column in The Inquirer's Currents section -- as much as he can do in 750 words. The intro reads: "John McCain is an honorable man who has served his country well. But he will not get my vote."

In a chat this afternoon, Smerconish acknowledged that most of the callers and e-mails were scathing, capping months of criticism that began when Smerconish invited Obama to speak on the air. "They never wanted me to welcome Obama in the first place," he said. In the spring, Smerconish announced that if he were a Democrat, he'd prefer Obama over Hillary Clinton.

thank God. It was the same way when Reagan ran, if you recall. Fortunately, there was a massive movement of conservative dems and independents to Reagan.

I remember when was a wild-eyed Carter backer.

Then I sobered up, graduated, and started working for a living.

I voted for Reagan twice.

Maybe after the next four years of stagflation under Obama MS will do the same.

Talk show host is not a job, its a hobby.

“Does Smerconish think Democrats will listen to his show? The answer is NO. They’re too busy watching The Today Show or Good Morning America. I predict his ratings will slide. He might have to go back to his law career full time.”

Good point, and I might add the same can be said of the MSM. The MSM have been so quick to alienate many of their viewers with their biased crap. After the election I predict most 0bama supporters will go back to BET, MTV, video games and the like. Granted, a few of the libs will continue on with the New York Times and other liberal BS sources, but will that be enough to keep them in business when they are already sinking?

I think that you are right about that. If he had a show on Fox News Channel, he would be pumping for John McCain. Ditto that for Joe Scarborough.

The only endorsement I fear coming this Sunday is that of Powell! You know the mediaPUKES will have a heyday with it. This could easily throw a monkey wrench in the uphill battle we are facing and earse any gains we’ve made this week. Pray that God touches Colin’s heart to do the right thing and stay silent for the sake of the nation he served and loves.

Is anybody on his e-mail list? I am. I haven't listened to his show in months. I want to unsubscribe from his e-mail list but can't find the unsubscribe link on his website or the WPHT website. I guess I may have to wait for the next e-mail to get an unsubscribe link.

IF Powell strongly endorses Osama, it will only solidify REAL Americans' observation that blacks ONLY vote for him because of skin color, and have no substantive reason otherwise.

Sadly, this is a race-based election, as the Left has socialism on its agenda, and have fielded "The Great BLACK Hope". On our side, we have Sarah Palin on the ticket, luckily, and that will energize and drive conservatives to the polls for sure. I believe McCain would have lost in a landslide without Sarah on the ballot with him.

Can anyone tell me when Michael Smerconish has ever uttered anything remotely conservative? He is a tool that the MSM calls upon when they want the opinion of a conservative. This POS is no loss, since he wasn't even a conservative to begin with.
