As if the topic of Amendment Two, a proposed constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, was not emotional enough, now the husband of Terri Schiavo has weighed in.
Michael Schiavo, in an email to opponents of the amendment, said, ""The same people who thought they knew what was best for my wife Terri, are once again trying to tell others how to live ...As a former Republican, I think if the people behind Amendment 2 really cared about respecting a legal marriage between husband and wife, they would have respected mine."

They can have him.

If he is a former Republican, he wouldn’t have let his wife die that way. He’s a ‘RAT and has always been a ‘RAT. Claiming to be a Republican or former Republican is something scumbag DemocRATS do when they are ashamed of themselves.
So we should vote “Yes,” yes?
The white O.J. Simpson speaks his mind.
I have a feeling his day is coming too.
Who cares what this POS has to say?
he is a disgusting piece.
Ill be voting yes and so will my family and as many neighbors I can get to the polls
They DID respect your marriage, in much the same way that the cops who intervene in a domestic dispute to prevent a wife-beater from bashing his wife's head in with a baseball bat respect that marriage - by trying to keep one partner from murdering the other.
Exactly, "respecting" a marriage DOES NOT mean that we should IGNORE one spouse murdering another.
Wow, that’s the dumbest plug FOR gay marriage that I’ve ever seen: “We need gay marriage so that your partner can have you starved to death even if your parents are willing to care for you! Come on, y’all! Don’t you want someone who can have you starved to death??”
This totally fits. I have always said that the agendas of abortion, homosexuality and euthanasia are not about the future. They are about regret people have over things they’ve done in the past. By passing these laws and advancing these agendas, they are getting society to tell them the immoral behavior they are so ashamed of was really OK.
Meanwhile the guilt continues to gnaw at their insides. It’s why they are all so hateful and angry all the time.
He “respected” his marriage by allowing the starving of his wife to death.
Apparently this piece of slime and I don’t use the same dictionary.
Not the forgiving type, Schiavo will commit any act to harm those that forced him to use his wife's trust fund for legal fees, rather than his personal pleasure. Now he tries to harm the innocents and institutions that pro life Republicans chose to defend.
Sour grapes.
If he had really loved his wife, he would have chosen life for her.

Screw you, Michael.
