As a former Republican, I think if the people behind Amendment 2 really cared about respecting a legal marriage between husband and wife, they would have respected mine They DID respect your marriage, in much the same way that the cops who intervene in a domestic dispute to prevent a wife-beater from bashing his wife's head in with a baseball bat respect that marriage - by trying to keep one partner from murdering the other.

Exactly, "respecting" a marriage DOES NOT mean that we should IGNORE one spouse murdering another.

Further, another part of respecting marriage is recognizing that a sufficient breach of trust by one participant is grounds for its dissolution, whether the participant wants it or not. To suggest that Michael's moving in with Jodi Centonze and having two children by her is not grounds for divorce, is to make a mockery of marriage.
