This is the 63rd Annual Alfred E. Smith Dinner. It's a charitable event. During presidential election years, the candidates always make a point to attend and speak, and always attempt to point humor, not only at their opponents and the press, but also at themselves. McCain was great, he was funny and scored points. I agree that Obama started to scowl about half way through the speech.
I wonder if Cardinal Egan has used the opportunity to lecture Obama on the killing of unborn children. He is sitting next to O.

NObama's on now. Not nearly as funny and very stiff. Getting some sympathy laughter. Pause...speak....pause...speak...the way he does in bursts of words.
