CINCINNATI (AP) - Close to one in every three newly registered Ohio voters will end up on court-ordered lists being sent to county election boards because they have some discrepancy in their records, an elections spokesman said Wednesday. Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner estimated that an initial review found that about 200,000 newly registered voters reported information that did not match motor-vehicle or Social Security records, Brunner spokesman Kevin Kidder said. Some discrepancies could be as simple as a misspelling, while others could be more significant.
The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati sided with the Ohio Republican Party on Tuesday and ordered Brunner to set up a system that provides those names to county elections boards. The GOP contends the information will help prevent fraud.
"Things already are in motion to comply," Kidder said. "We're working to establish these processes on how we can make this work. The computer work actually began last week."
About 666,000 Ohioans have registered to vote since January.

I thought the law said that only the registrations turned in by a third party had to be cross checked.
Could be transcription error made by the person who entered the registration in the DB. Reading other people’s handwriting isn’t always easy.

I’ve only registered to vote twice...once in the town I grew up in and once again in the town I moved to....I filled out the form myself. I would think most if not all those who filled out the forms did so for themselves ACORN or not......
Step 1) Voter fills out the registration form.
Step 2) Employee of the voting commission uses the information on the form, entering it into a database to generate voter list.
Step 3) Said database is cross checked with other databases.
Error in step two will spit out a mismatch in step 3. The voter wrote their name correct, but their handwriting was difficult to read, so the person doing the entry made a guess. Also too, the entering person was a gobment employee & they had to get through a pile of registrations before they could leave for the night, so the were slipshod in the job they did.

Least Ohio’s are getting cross matched. My state’s election board isn’t enforcing the law & it’s not getting done. The state DA sued & will probably get a ruling in his favor after the election.
Ohio should have been running the comparison as the registrations came in. Broad in charge should be brought up on charges for her breach of ethics.
Yeah, well, we already knew that. Apparently, Brunner is his hand-maiden.
Seriously though, we need to start calling for her resignation. Today and loudly!
