That was exactly what I was thinking as I just watched the repeat of Brit Hume and company giving the debate to Obama. They were acting as though they had the election results in front of them and McCain had lost. They were sickening.

I went to the Bethlehem, PA rally and contrary to Fred Barnes saying all McCain supporters are depressed, we were all anything but depressed!!

Fox News just lost what they were all about.

$12,000? I am quite certain that the insurance I had through work, until recently, did not cost our company THAT much.

That said, if one can get as good an individual plan as the company group plan, for the same money, one comes out ahead, IF your employer pays you that amount. But if all the employers dump their employee health care plans, where does McCain get the money to give away the $5000? It seems to me he’s roughly $2000 short, and like I said, I would not think most employee plans (to be paid to the employee as income instead) would generate even $3000 in tax revenue.) Am I missing something?

I have to admit, McCain does a terrible job of explaining his plan, and I have not even heard him addressing how it helps with the long term goal of reducing costs, though I think it would.

BTW, the animated GIF is not working for me...

Too bad McCain did not mention the pics Ayers has on his office door even today — maybe he could have tied that into the “what’s wrong with education” discussion! If Ayers is considered a “respected professor”, then somebody needs to be pointing out just what his clearly stated socialist views are — he doesn’t hide them like Obama...

I don’t know why we keep expecting the media to be honest. I saw a huge McCain win tonight.I guess its the optimist in me but I expected the media to see the same thing, but of course they saw an Obama win. Last I checked FoxNews says the polls are in and Obama was the big winner. Probably the stupid internet polls that the libs always seem to get to first. I finaly realized one thing tonight. We have no friends in the media. Not even FoxNews. Maybe Shawn Hannity, thats it. I feel horrible for John McCain and Sarah Palin. He is such an honorable man. I wonder how he can continue to love this country so much. I wonder if he ever thinks the torture he went through for years and the broken body he lives with every day, wasn’t even worth it. Sarah Palin answered the call to serve her country when we needed her so badly. She has been through hell and gets no recognition for it. If we lose, her light that shone so bright and the promise of such a brilliant career in politics will just fade away. I wonder if she regrets it. I wonder if they think America has let them down. One thing I know, we are on our own. FoxNews was my last hope of an unbiased media even though it had become a pretty slim hope. We have to hold up JM and SP. We have to let them know we are still fighting for them. Sorry for being so cynical. I guess I’m just tired. Tomorrow will be a better day.

I like hearing differing points of view as well, but I do not like it the way it was done on FOX tonight — right after the debate with individuals acting in an extremely biased way and ONLY extremely liberal-slanting comments right after the debate.

I actually have totally enjoyed hearing Dick Morris talk — just as much as I like hearing Newt Gingrich talk. (Please no flaming! I know who stands on the right side of the aisle!) LOL I even enjoyed listening to Joe Biden’s convention speech, and I cried too! I am not opposed to hearing what is going on with the other side.

I can’t say I am as open as my husband who actually likes to listen to some of the liberal black talk shows to see what they are saying. However, I like to hear the other side too.

It is just that... WELL.... in a world where we are all scared and sad and confused and smothered with problems, etc. etc. etc.... it is nice to have a news station where we can at least feel like we can go to and feel like we belong — a place we feel like we can be who we are and WHO WE ARE IS OK. I couldn’t belong to that news station I was hearing after the debate tonight, and I would not be able to believe that those people speaking after that debate tonight would think I was OK. I couldn’t feel like I had come home to the place where they understood me. I sure didn’t feel secure and comfortable.

For ME, I want news, I want to be educated, but I also so crave a place where I know I am not alone... a place where it is OK to be a conservative, or a Republican, or even just an Obama disliker. :) I don’t want to go to a place where I have to be told that my side is all wrong.

In conclusion.... (Do I sound like Raymond Burr yet?)... IN CONCLUSION........ :)

You made some good points in your post. I appreciated the insight. You’re also welcome to take ANOTHER last word, but I think I am going to bed, so I’ll get it tomorrow morning. :)

As for name calling, that is OK. I could call you something REALLY bad if I wanted to. I could start telling lawyer jokes! HAHAHAHA!

Thanks for accepting my apology, and thanks for yours too.

You won me over, dear sir.

Good night.

Yep, answer the door, and say, “oh kids it’s Barack Obama! YEAH!! We are gonna take all your candy, just like Obama wants to do with MY money...and REDISTRIBUTE IT!! YES WE CAN!!! YEAH!!! Right kids, we want to help those kids behind you that may not have as much as you do. Here are a few pieces for yourself...”

Or YOU wear an Obama mask, and TAKE the kids candy when they get to the door, and redistribute it...as a civics lesson....and a Halloween trick!

Thank you for your very kind words. I am going to do all I can to help win this election. Its just the media is so unfair. Its like tonight was the last straw. I couldn’t wait till after the debate to see what they had to say about McCains big win and they were talking about Obamas big win. I guess it was just the breaking point. But we pick ourselves up and dust off and get back to work. Have a good night, FRiend.

Yeah, there was a clear opening in the “what is wrong with education question. Which by the way, I LOVE how honest the question was! How often do you hear someone say that we shell out more money per student, than any other country in the world, yet our kids are at the bottom of the list in achievement. About time someone said it!

But, it would have been nice if McCain said, the reason is because the kids are indoctrinated, instead of taught. They are spending their time going to lesbian weddings and learning about sex when they are in Kindergarten...they don’t have time to read and do math. And besides they have teachers like Bill Ayers!

Honestly, truly, seriously, I DO NOT think Obama can speak well at all! I HATE TO LISTEN TO HIM!! He drones on and on....he stutters, saying “ah, ah, ah,’’’ and he is arrogant. I think he is a horrible speaker, and I have never gotten it when people rave on about how good he is! I am not too proud to admit it, if he were a good speaker.

I think bj clinton was an excellent speaker. I think bj can make people understand any line of bull he is pushing....he is good. Obama doesn’t hold a candle to clinton! No way.

I think Obama must be using voodoo on you folks. Have you ever been prayed over to be protected from witches? Cuz I think they are casting some kind of spell....weird.

“Why are they constantly using whatever poll has McCain down by the most as a point of reference?”

Yes, I’m a bit tired of this “fair and balanced crap.”

John McCain ought to counter that Obama would be down by 30 points if ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and the rest of the news organizations around the country had done their job of actually examining and reporting the truth about Obama.

The monochrome nature of the observations were absurd.

If anyone has the master email list, write to these mediots.

they were not analyzing they were carrying the leftist on their shoulders.

FNC was a HUGE dissapointment of bias.

NONE of the good zingers got more than one play.

I’m not looking to be spoon fed only what I like to hear.

Oh, thank you for that. 20 pages of Fox bashing, finally a voice of reason. Doesn't Rove, Romney, Pawlenty, Morris, Van Susteren, Hannity, and now the Fox and Friends crew mitigate the 15 minutes of the Pompous Panel? For crying out loud, people! If it wasn't for Hannity and Fox News we would never have heard a word about Ayers or ACORN, and O'Reilly first ran the Joe the Plumber footage, which may be the turning point for McCain.

David Brooks said he couldn’t imagine America wanting to look at THAT (McCain) for four years, because he looked tight in the shoulders (Brooks imitated)

You jerk, Brooks, he IS tight in the shoulders because they are all effed up from being hung by his arms in the Hanoi Hilton. Oh, did you ever find out why he doesn't use computers much?
