Ok, I haven’t been watchin this thread, so I am just coming from my own impressions. McCain KICKED ASS. Why.... this: He clearly delineated the difference between himself and Obama.... Mr. Government.. it may have been a slip of the tongue, and indeed that’s what I think it was, but its also ACCURATE. McCain made the point, its either Mr. Givernment (oops silly me) over here or its get government OUT OF YOUR WAY. Its the false idea of the government paid for all included vacation... or the opportunity to create out of your own life what ever YOU want it to be. The Government HAND OUT, or the Government gettin out of the way. The Government dictating what kind of healthcare you GET if you can’t afford to pay for the Cadillac plan, or Cut the COST of healthcare so you can CHOOSE better healthcare because you can now AFFORD to buy it.
Mr. Obama proposed so many things he wants to do while cutting taxes on middle class while raising taxes on the businesses that HIRE people, causing them to FIRE more than they hire. That ends up with the middle class with out a job. Mr. McCain, lets make it cheaper for businesses to DO business, cut their taxes so they can HIRE MORE THAN THEY FIRE! Tell me that isn’t talking straight to the Middle class! The middle class wants a job to put food on the table and something into their savings account at the end of the month. You don’t get that on the Dole!
McCain won this debate hands down. For his POSITIONS. Is he the better Debater? Nope. He is the better LEADER, and THAT is what people vote for. You bet can your Job he is the better leader. Can you say that about Obama? Oh HELL NO! You keep talkin slick, it’s ALL you got. McCain, he doesn’t need the silver tongue, thats because he is far too busy walkin the walk.

Their criticisms were so superficial there would have been no way McCain would have won in their books. He lost in their opinions before he sat down. You can bet the people that matter liked what they heard.
