This is a blog excert from Wade Rathke, the founder and Chief Organizer of ACORN International and SEIU Local 100, AFL-CIO, etc.
ACORNs foreclosure prevention negotiations have picked up momentum behind the scenes again recently. Last week solid progress made with teams at Merrill Lynch in New York and WAMU in Seattle. Next week another face-to-face round in Dallas with GMAC and other metroplex area servicers on the docket. A call with Wells this week to finally get them into the game and discuss much needed streamlining is now set. Ocwen, a target not long ago, is piloting in three cities and coming around solidly. Agreements are now set with Citi and HSBC and waiting for scheduled announcements. And yesterday, after a hiatus of almost six months, we were back at the table with Countrywide, or as they refer to it increasingly BAC, (for Bank America Countrywide) to talk about our progress and problems with our first servicing best practices agreement negotiated with them and finally to begin to piece together a plan around pay option ARMs.
Issue Comparison: ACORN running a shadow USA government, why do we need congress? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2106067/posts
Obama/ACORN: A side by side History (documented) http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2105002/posts -------------------
I am mad reading this! ACORN/Obama Presidency will bring unbearable grief and sadness for this country.
Reparations.
Yes. We did. To fight FOR us. Not AGAINST us. Big diff.
If I were the CEO of any of these companies and ACORN approached my company with these strong arm tactics I’d release a video on You Tube telling ACORN that their interference in mortgage lending practices are what caused this debacle and that they should stick their collective heads in a toilet and flush. I wouldn’t tolerate these fascist punks for 3 seconds.
What do we do to STOP this? ACORN has a reach in every country on the earth and they are teaching/using these same techniques to organizers so they can go back and take down corporations one after another.
In this global economy, it is a sign of dangers unknown.
Why isn’t there an ad campaign?
Jesse Jackson uses the same tactics with Rainbow/Push.
Companies need to do a push back and expose these tactics publicly.
We stop it by exposing ACORN for the political thugs they are. The success of this depends on the media and right now the media is doing a good job of hammering these punks. But when all of this is said and done much of it will be forgotten unless ACORN is put under a criminal indictment. Short of that all we can do is educate our friends about what ACORN actually is... the criminal arm of the Democratic Party.
BIG QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HOW MANY BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR DOES ACORN GET FROM OUR GOVERNMENT??????????????????????????????????????????????
No Talking Head has Asked or Answered that Question!!!!!!!
including Motormouth Hannity!!
PRETTY SIMPLE QUESTION!!! HUH????
ACORN = UNCONSTITUTIONAL & criminal.
Outsourcing.
Jesse Jackson paid him a visit. The choice was to pay a relatively small amount through various "legal" means or go out of business.
This is a disturbing trend, which actually extends beyond ACORN.
Here in Pittsburgh, the NHL hockey team has been in “negotiations” with local busy bodies from the Hill district for a “community benefit agreement”.
Now, of course this kind of project, for better or worse, involves public financing and governmental involvement to come to fruition. But that is the city, county and state governments. Extra governmental groups like ACORN or Pittsburgh’s “One Hill” group really can’t “negotiate” as they have nothing to offer the businesses they are “negotiating” with. It seems more like plain old extortion.
And just as corrupt by the looks of ACORN.
