PITTSBURGH (AP) — U.S. Rep. John Murtha says his home base of western Pennsylvania is racist and that could reduce Barack Obama's victory margin in the state by 4 percentage points.
The 17-term Democratic congressman tells the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in a story posted Wednesday on its Web site that, as he put it: "There is no question that western Pennsylvania is a racist area."

I wonder if Murtha’s internal numbers show him losing his race?

Obama apparently aims to prove he can associate with terrorists in the middle of a war on terror, insult Jews and Christians, trash the 2nd Amendment, raise taxes, espouse marxism, call Americans racist, attend a racist left wing church for two decades - AND STILL GET ELECTED!
Murtha is showing the arrogance of being in power for too long; insulting his own constituents. If they reelect him, the voters are willing participants in an abusive relationship.
I do hope that someone in the Pennsylvania Republican Party is turning this into an ad as we speak, err, type and planning to club both Murtha and Obama over the head with it until the latter has to throw the former under the bus.
Well, speaking as a Southwestern Pa hick who’s clinging to his guns and religion, I take offense to this. I only wish I was in Murtha’s gerrymandered district so I could help vote him out. I’m rooting for Lt Col. Russell to beat his tush. Its pretty unusal for an old jarhead to take the soldier over the jarhead!
Something is cooking in PA, Murtha is a loudmouthed twit, normally though, he merely broadcasts what he hears behind closed doors.
Remember the “This war is lost” stuff? He only said what was being said in private meetings.
It’s hard for me to believe that Murtha would say something like this. If true (and it is the AP, so you never know...my hunch is that he didn’t say this), McCain has won Pennsylvania. Obama can not be a happy camper if true. I guess we’ll wait and see if the report is made up or is real.
