McCain: I would rather "lose" the election than..........
SteveK1 | 10-15-08 | SteveK1

I heard on our local Tampa radio station this morning 970 Radio:

According to a political analyst, McCain would rather "lose" the election than conduct a dishonorable campaign.

If this is true, than many of us regret sending a contribution to McCain.

This reminds me of a boxer fighting in the last round needing a KNOCKOUT to win the fight. Instead he jabs and dances.

It's better to go down in flames with honor, according to McCain.

I probalby missed it, because you know I do not lack in opinions! I think John is in a real dilema...You see we are politically connected, reading and searching information on the net....most Americans are not...they are asleep politically...They only watch 5 minutes of the first captions on maybe the 10 or 11 oclock news. They know nothing about Ayers...they know nothing about Rezko...They know nothing about Odinga...so for John to bring up this stuff when the moderator is going to cut him off after 5min. Obama has ample time to comeback with...WHAT ARE YOU SO ANGRY ABOUT!!! BOY YOU HAVE TO CALM DOWN...ECT....Who do you thing will look worse?

JOHN HAS TO COME OUT AND LOOK AS HE ALWAYS DOES IN CONTROLL and state....about the voter fraud...”I dont understand how people who trusted you to teach them about voting and serving the community could be used to serve your purpose...one young lady already went to jail...What about the people you talked into getting loans...people who knew they couldnt afford it....but you sold them a bag of rocks....sold them on false dreams...you are good! You are a good talker...if President is taken you might want to look into used cars! My apologies to used car salesmen”!

What the heck does that have to do with the current spineless, “dignified”, "country clubbers" that run the GOP today? The GOP won all those wars and not regular Americans? Funny, the GOP as a party were not around during the War of 1812 and the Revolutionary War.

Right - where did he get the slogan “Country First” anyway? If this story is true, he’s “McCain First”. Gee, what a surprise. That would explain why he just doesn’t get it. Just another narcissistic politician. He can’t get past this idea that this race is for and about him.

As Limbaugh implies it is going to take those same regular Americans who value liberty to drag McCain passed Obama. I hope there is enough of them to counter the would be totalitarian democrat power whore.

I have heard more PUMAS dedicated to the campaign than here!

doesnt matter.....JOHN WILL WIN!! SARAH WILL BE VP

Sean hannity just said...pOLLS ARE OFF, BARACK OBAMA IS NOT CLOSING THE GAP...McCain just needs to press on doubts about Obama!

using Reagans speech....make a principle case of what we believe in!Make a distinction of what we believe in vs what they stand for....Media wants john to spew hatred!

THEY ALREADY HAVE THE TALKING POINTS TO SPREAD BEFORE AND AFTER! Did you know Obama has already spread talking points to CNN,CBS,NBC,MSNBC...THEY ARE ALL GOING TO HAMMER JOHN ALREADY AND THE DEBATE HASNT EVEN HAPPENED.

I depends on which definition of “dishonorable” he means.

The media’s or the dictionary’s.

I suspect it's the same one he used to smear the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.

What's up with stevek1?>

His history of posts begin in the middle of September 2004 and stop on Election day then starting up again in the middle of September 2008 but he never stays to discuss anything. Is that the behavior of a sock puppet or something more?

Self righteous sanctimony. He has a peculiar sense of honor. Attacking his supporters and endorsing his enemies.

It’s not whether you win or lose, it’s whether you run a “respectful & honorable” campaign that’s important. </s

As will I. Although, in my heart, I believe McCain is too muddled and confused about what constitutes honor to be fit for the office.

At this point, no one is helping Obama more than McCain. And that's the truth. Things “may” change tonight if McCain stops being McCain. Bashing McCain? How can anyone stand by and watch this obscenity play out and remain silent. If McCain loses, it's is fault. This crap about having to drag him across the finish line is total insanity. How deep have we sunk to come to this? A man who has a higher opinion of Obama than he does of his supporters. I will vote for Palin. But I will not sit quietly by, while McCain tries to lead us over a cliff.

Of course, that statement wasn't too bright, either. Lose the election and the war IS lost.

Tonight, McCain should reiterate the endorsement of Obama, he made Saturday, and everyone will like him and vote GOP in 2012. Right.

I vote for Palin. But if we succeed in dragging this Self righteous fool over the finish line, then what the hell do we do with him?
