DOVER — More than 3,000 people were waiting outside Dover High School this morning for a chance to hear Sarah Palin speak at the school later this morning.

The crowd was just beginning to file in about 9:45 a.m. The line stretched from the school, up Alumni Avenue and onto Route 108.

Inside, the stage was set for Palin, the Alaska governor and vice-presidential hopeful, who will speak from under banners that proclaim "Country First" and "New Hampshire does the same". The theme from "Rocky" is playing in the background.

For eventgoers and members of the press, security has been tight.

Among the first people in line were a mother and son, Linda and Jack Gorman, from Berwick, Maine. They arrived at 5 a.m.

Biden gets 700 people in Rochester on Monday (A HOLIDAY) and Palin gets MORE than four times that, with people lining up six hours beforehand. Yet we're still led to believe that the Obamanation is going to win in a landslide? Really?

Seems that Tina Fey has turned the Governor into an American cultural hero.

As a NH resident this is great to see (of course, I have to work today). And, the Dover area isn’t exactly conservative heaven.

Wow! An entire article that doesn't have the obligatory interview with a “Republican” who has decided to vote for Obama!

From the article:

“Linda said she was at the event to support Palin, who solidified her vote for the Republican ticket.”

Same here, I was lukewarm on McCain, let’s be honest here, but Gov Palin moved me away from a third party vote and into the Palin McCain camp.

Seems that Tina Fey has turned the Governor into an American cultural hero.

As much as I have a crush on Tina Fey, Palin is the one who have resurrected Tina Fey's career. I especially like how Palin said that she hoped to give Tina 4 years of material - loved it!

Call me pessimistic but there is no way McCain/Palin take Delaware - this is about as likely as Savior/Biden taking Wyoming.

And, thanks to the IDIOTS running his campaign (INTO THE GROUND) Senator McCain will be in BENDOVER tonight.

I remain lukewarm on McCain himself, but agree wholeheartedly on the effect Palin has had.

My husband still threatens to cut the yard sign in half and rearrange the names to Palin / McCain.

Heh!

Considering Manchester [population 108,000], Nashua [population 86,000], Concord [population 42,000] and Boston MA [population 600,000] are all within a one hour drive of Dover, it doesn’t seem like a real big draw to me.

Call your local country music station, and ask that they play the new Hank Williams song, “McCain-Palin Tradition.” This is a remake of his “Family Tradition” hit.

If they balk, suggest that they could play a Madonna song, giving Obama equal time.

Remind them that the song isn’t a McCain advertisement, it is a legitimate country song from a popular artist.

Yet with the help of the media and voter fraud, Biden will move into the vice president’s house.

Well...sort of, I thought McCain from Saddleback was a candidate I could vote for, since then though, he has sort acted...McCainish if you get my meaning?

Sarah Palin is what she is, no vacillating nonsense, her life shows her values and there has been none of the political games that come from being locked into Mordor on the Potomac..
