Was Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama really born in this country?
His critics and his foes have spent a good deal of time raising doubt and spreading rumors that he’s not.
Today, Steve Marquis of Fall City filed a lawsuit in King County Superior Court directing Secretary of State Sam Reed to get the proof – or remove Obama’s name from ballots.

The only problem is if he was born outside of the US, his mother, who was not yet 18 cannot pass citizenship on to him. He would take the citizenship of the father, which is Kenyon. His own grandmother states he was born in Kenya, and why go to the trouble of posting an obvious fake COLB if he has the real one? Also, why hire lawyers to fight this in court, have it played out on the net, when all he had to turn to blunt this is to produce an original. Seems like he protesteth too much.
Yup I believe it too at this point. The statement of his grandmother alone that she was there at Obama's birth in Kenya should have sent the media packing to Africa to get to the bottom of it. The fact is they already knew he was born there and are covering for him.
The development at this time seems to be Obama’s acquiring Indonesian citizenship through being adopted by his step-father, Lolo Soetoro.
He may have lost his U. S. citizenship through that action -and he may still have Indonesian citizenship if it were not officially repudiated by age 21.

It is actually an alleged “certificate of live birth” (COLB), not a “digital birth certificate, and certainly not the required document that Phil Berg is suing Obama to produce in Federal court. Big difference between an alleged and potentially falsified COLB and the original BC which would name the exact place (hospital), time, doctor, and parental data amoungst other items.
Obamabots use it all the time for their talking points.

The "digital birth certificate", actually a "certification of live birth", even if valid, is sufficient to prove citizenship, but not that he is a "natural born citizen". The later is the Constitutional requirement. The reason the CLB is not sufficient is that is possible to register a birth after the fact on petition of the parent(s), not on the basis of a document from the hospital, doctor, or midwife. Also birth certificates, and the database from which the CLB is prepared, can be altered upon adoption, and we know that BHO was adopted by his step father, an Indonesian Muslim, after he married BHO's mother. There would be a record of that, and a last name change, on the original "long form" certificate. There would also be record of it being changed back, if Barry or his Grandparents, did that at some point.
The birth announcement does not say where little Barak was born, and the address given, 6085 Kalanianaole Hwy, is or was a pretty swanky neighborhood for a couple of college students with a new baby. It's speculated that it is BHO's maternal Grandparents' address but that is AFAIK, just speculation.
You are correct, but this could have been turned around to an advantage by just producing the certificate.
It would diminish all the arguments against Barry as just “sour grapes” Now he is fighting a suit in Federal court, which it looks like may go forth (since it hasn’t been dismissed out of hand.)
The local media in Toledo has picked up the story (Berg is a graduate of the University of Toledo Law School)And now he has another small fire in Washington.
Someone is going to have to file an answer to the suit. Seeing as how his attorney’s haven’t been able to convince a Federal Court to dismiss, I doubt a State Court would act on its own.
This may not get any national play, but it will be picked up by local media. Sometimes they can be more ruthless than the networks. Just ask Kwame Kilpatrick. If it weren’t for the Detroit Free Press and Steve Wilson from WXYZ, he (Kwame) would still be Mayor and living the high life.

Because each of states often use different titles or may assign the duties of verification to someone other than the secretary of state, it is best to seek help from an attorney who practices in your state.

I was born in Germany on a US military installation. I can easily prove that I’ve been a citizen since birth as I am listed as “born abroad of US parents” and therefore a citizen from birth. I even have the documents to prove it. It’s not hard to do. So Barry, where are your documents? (Mine have an official seal by the way)
