Obama's birth stirs legal action in Washington
Everett, Washington Herald ^ | 2008-10-14 | Jerry Cornfield

Was Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama really born in this country?

His critics and his foes have spent a good deal of time raising doubt and spreading rumors that he’s not.

Today, Steve Marquis of Fall City filed a lawsuit in King County Superior Court directing Secretary of State Sam Reed to get the proof – or remove Obama’s name from ballots.

The moderator made a comment about how it isn’t true and is tired of a few wacko’s bringing it up.

How many stories about Republicans end up not being true but they go with them anyway? This may or may not be factual but they can't deny there's an ongoing lawsuit that has not been dismissed. That by itself makes it news. I don't know why they're so determined to sweep it under the rug.

Holy smokes. Apparently Michelle Obama had made contact with African press outlets and made some very revealing remarks.

Your Attorney General is a Republican, and he just filed a case against the Republican candidate for Governor for some campaign finance technicalities.
Bright bulbs up there in the Northwest, eh?

I agree. We need to exert pressure in every way possible. There is GROSS NEGLIGENCE coming into play here in a variety of ways, IMHO. First, the Democrats for not officially qualifying their candidate and taking him at his word (which we ALL know now to be VERY suspect). Second, as is the case here - with every single election official that is supposed to check the qualifications of those they put on the ballot. That we are only 2 short weeks away from an election, and we have these SERIOUS doubts about the validity of Obama’s candidacy highlights a SERIOUS flaw in our electoral system. One that needs to be remedied ASAP.

There are a ton of issues that we need to address in regards to voting, fraud, qualifications etc... etc...
Here are just a few:

- Voter Registration groups such as ACORN that have been PROVEN to engage in fraud. There needs to be some kind of accountability, and oversight - far greater than there is at present. This election tampering has been going on for a LONG time now...

- Voting Machines - Did you all know that Hugo Chavez (yes, THAT Chavez - the communist dictator in Venezuela) by virtue of nationalizing companies now has ownership of an election machine production and distribution company based in California? This company - again, owned by a COMMUNIST DICTATOR - is supplying voting machines in OUR country, for THIS election! (How insane is that???) [It is my personal opinion that we should go back to paper ballots - I don’t care if it takes weeks to find out the results! There is no way to assure that a computer has tallied your vote correctly, and as long as we rely on technology that can be hacked/tampered with we will ALWAYS have allegations of fraud, and mistrust among the citizenry.]

- Qualifications - Obviously there needs to be more oversight as Obama’s campaign make clear. I know there have GOT to be laws in place, but IMHO every single election official that was charged with making sure the candidates put on the ballot were qualified has FAILED miserably, and they should ALL be out of a job and replaced, ASAP.

All JMHO of course... I’m sure others can identify more problems that will need to be addressed, and there are definitely others that are more educated as to our electoral system that may have ideas on how to FIX these problems - better than I’ve been able to write here. :)

It’s likely that the adoption in Indonesia was never related to the American authorities. Along with dual allegiances, it is my firm belief that he has maintained DUAL IDENTITIES. One as the American citizen Barack Obama, and one as the Indonesian citizen Barry Soetero. It is the only plausible explanation for how he could’ve obtained an Indonesian passport to travel to Pakistan in 1981...

I fleshed out my theory on another thread a few days ago, but it’s very possible that his American records will show no sign of his adoption since it was not done here in the U.S.

I’ll go look for the link to my post - it’ll explain where I’m coming from a LOT better! LOL

I found it! :) (tons of pings lately! LOL)

Keep in mind the following is a THEORY as to how Obama could have maintained his dual citizenship even AFTER he was 18, even though it is ILLEGAL to do so in Indonesia.

Here is the post I wrote out a few days ago on this:

FactCheck is run by Annenburg? No wonder they say Obama’s BC is real, he’s one of them. I say keep filing suits. Michele’s angry Obama’s citizenship is being questioned. I think the truth is near at hand.

Obama was an Indonesian Citizen which means at best he became a Naturalized Citizen.

Probably, but if he's a Kenyan citizen that's a different story. Lots of people have dual citizenship from birth. Sometimes it's recognized by either or both countries, sometimes not. But in such each country claims the person as a natural born citizen. It would be true of any country which only requires one parent to be a citizen, or one, like the US, which bases citizenship on birth in the country, while the other uses citizenship status of the parents, like Germany, where Turkish (or other) guest workers cannot become citizens and neither can their offspring.

The US doesn't really recognize dual citizenship, but generally ignores the other citizenship, but not always. Traveling on the passport of the "other country" can be one of those cases, as can serving in it's military. But again, not always. Lots of Americans have served in the Israeli defense forces, and then returned to the US.

She said essentially “so what if Obama is a Muslim.”

Being a Muslim is perhaps a reason not to vote for him, but it's not a Constitutional dis-qualifier. In fact quite the opposite, the Constitution forbids religious qualifications.

Not being a natural born citizen, now that's a Constitutional dis-qualifier.

This thing is going nowhere - it’s a distraction from legit issues like Obama’s friendship with a terrorist, his affiliation with a group involved in widespread attempts at vote fraud, and his stated intention to use taxes to redistribute wealth.

It might be a distraction, it also might be the only thing that stops that vote stealing friend of terrorists and would be wealth redistributor from becoming the President of the United States.

His own grandmother said this.

Actually kind of his grandmother and kind of not. IIRC, the woman in question is not his father's mother, but is one of his grandfather's other wives. (Grandfather, like father, was Muslim, and had more than one wife at a time).

THEY don’t know and consider him a “natural born” Indonesian citizen already.

Indonesia would have considered him a naturalized citizen, not natural born.

Actually I think it was. His stepfather married his mother in Hawaii, and I think adopted little Barry before returning to Indonesia. Could be wrong about that, but I remember reading it somewhere or other. But such an adoption, in and of itself, would not change BO's citizenship status, nor affect his natural born status, if he indeed was natural born at that point.

Notice that the school form shows him born in Honolulu.

I think it was Ayn Rand who said that whoever controls language controls minds. The same could be said about who controls facts.

She would know. In Russia early in the USSR era, there was a joke regarding a letter the Bolsheviks had eliminated from the Cyrillic scrept, ostensibly because it looked like a church. The joke was that, because "bread" was spelled with that letter, and the Bolsheviks got rid of it, they have no bread.
