A sobering thought...

A sobering thought...from behind enemy lines.

"We have a historic opportunity to gain a 60-seat Democratic majority in the Senate this year -- paving the way for real progressive change. ... This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity ..." - MoveOn.org email, 3/26/2008)

I don't doubt it. With Acorn you probably can get anything you want. Unless—states start prosecuting.

I have talked to quite a few fellow Republicans, conservatives, Church members, and friends and a disheartening number of them are not going to vote. Their reasons vary from "what difference can I make" to "I just don't care anymore". We are giving up our country to people who do have an emotional commitment to their agenda and we will lose our liberty due to apathy.

I have received three letters from the liberals offering to transport me to and from the polls on November 4 but not one from a conservative group. When we lose this election, and our country, it is our own apathy we have to blame......

How many of the states where ACORN has 'registered' thousands of fictional voters are ones where the Donks hope to pick up seats in Congress?

Or is the POTUS race "battleground State" pattern just a cover for thousands more fraudulent registrations in districts where those Congressional battles are going on?

There may be more layers to this onion.

The 110th Democrat Congress has approval rating which is only a quarter or a third that of President Bush (against whose "third term" Obama and Dems are running). The easiest way to defeat them is by tying a Democratic opponent to Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid ("Nine Percent Approval Congress", "Worst Congress Ever") in traditionally conservative congressional districts and states, no matter his 'voting record' which could be phonied up with supposedly conservative throwaway votes.

So easy even a Stupid Party could do it. This should be the campaign agenda of GOP House and Senate candidates and grass roots this election season, particularly in "red" states and conservative congressional districts:

Two years ago people voted for "change" in Congress
Are you better off than you were 2 years ago?
9% Approval, Worst Congress Ever!

Electing a 'conservative' Democrat to Congress
ensures continued Democrats' majority in Congress and
the failed agendas and failed leadership of
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi   and   Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

rallying the base is important.......I have spoken with no one but dems who do not want to vote this year......the rest of us will be crawling over broken glass to get to the voting booth.

I don’t know a whole lot, but what I have seen over the years, is slightly comforting to me... When a Dem gets the white house, they lose in the House and Senate and vice-versa.

I hope this trend stays around another few years...

Take the initiative and give them the information that is coming out about Obama. If they cannot be swayed, then make the necessary accusation of not caring if we throw out our Constitution and substitute it for the Marmist Manifesto. That is where we are headed if Barack Obama is elected.

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH ABOUT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA'S CIRCLE OF FRIENDS

Obama and his radical friends at ACORN and the DNC (abetted by the MSM) intend to steal this election if they cannot win it...and they are afraid that they certainly will not win it.

JOIN THOSE INVOKING GOD'S BLESSINGS ON OUR NATION THIS 2008 ELECTION

I'm not buyin' the push polls, which are heavily weighted in their sampling to the dems...and neither should anyone else. They are simply an attempt for the most part, IMHO, to supress the GOP vote.

On the ground, the crowds that Sarah is drawing now (30,000 in FL, 24,000 coming in Indiana, etc.), tell the real stroy...and the DNC, MSM, and Obama's campaign know it.

SARAH PALIN DRAWING HUGE CROWDS ALL ACROSS AMERICA

...and then there is this:

Just because we loose a battle doesn’t mean we’ve lost the war.
What the ‘progressives’ don’t figure in is what the opposition will do. In 2004, at DU they encouraged their crowd to run up credit cards and default on them. (No proof whether they did or not, but...)
In 2008, Atlas is shrugging. The ‘host’(producers) will not be available for the ‘parasite’ (government). When there is no incentive to produce, you take a vacation.

"There may be more layers to this onion."

I'm sure there is. There's more to this than just the threat of someone showing up pretending to be "Micky Mouse" when they vote. These fake registrations pad the amount of OVERALL voters in precincts. When the polls close, corrupt poll workers can create votes, based on how many they 'need'. We all sat here on election night during the Virginia Senate race. It was late, all precincts were closed, except for a handful in liberal strongholds. They literally reported the numbers that were needed to put Jim Webb over the top. I believe Allen lost by less than 100 votes statewide.

We also saw it during the dem primary with Gary Indiana. The mayor was all but bragging about it in a press release that night. It appears if a republican is to win a statewide race anymore, they must win by 5-10% of the real vote in order to barely win the "counted" vote. Very sad.

It is like a child who insists on making a costly mistake. In spite of all your warnings, in spite of your evidence, in spite of your love, they make a bad decision that creates fear and adversity in all the family.

The upcoming experiment in socialism will fail as it has in all previous incarnations, but the result will be fear and adversity and I fear violence........

Just because we loose a battle doesn’t mean we’ve lost the war.

Loose is the opposite of tight.

Lose is the opposite of Win.

We have three weeks to turn that around and it willhave to be the base that does it. Don’t wait for the GOP or anyone else to come to our aid, we will have to do this ourselves at the grassroots level. The same way we defeated amnesty, without leadership and spontaneously from the bottom. Neighbor to neighbor.
