Palin Takes on Biden's Hometown

Governor Sarah Palin took the McCain-Palin campaign into Sen. Joe Biden’s back yard, pulling out all the stops at a rally in Scranton, Pennsylvania today in a clear effort to excite McCain-Palin supporters and get them talking to friends and neighbors.

Biden had joined Sen. Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton at precisely the same venue on Sunday. Scranton is Biden’s hometown and Sen. Clinton has roots there as well.

Just before Palin took the state at the indoor recreation center, the lights were dimmed and red, white and blue spotlights pulsated through the arena. Queen’s “We will Rock You” blared for a few minutes and then Palin entered to the “Rocky” theme. But there was more. Palin had a surprise guest. Country legend Lee Greenwood was in the house. After singing the Star Spangled Banner he launched into his hit “Proud to be an American”, drawing huge cheers and a few tear-filled eyes.

Deomcratic vice presidential nominee, U.S. Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., jokes about his Rupublican rival, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, during a campaign stop in Rochester, N.H., Monday, Oct. 13, 2008.

I would love her to stop here in Massachusetts.

She can savage the state & remind folks nationwide of what can happen when “governed” by just one party.

Gay marriage, high taxes, in-state tuition for crimigrants, Barney Frank, the Big Dig, etc, etc, etc.

Seriously they need to ATTACK the belly of the Beast.

I live in Rochester. Yeah, it was a joke alright. Guy couldn't even draw 700 people on a holiday. And at the Legion Hall, of all places.

I knew I smelled something foul when I went there last night. Between him, Che-Porter, and Queen Jeanne the Spending Machine, the building should probably be condemmed.

Did you read that phrase “the crowd was same as that of Biden and Clinton Campaign”. Meaning, the crowd as really big and they don’t want anyone to have a impression that, Sarah Palin got a big crowd at the the so called “birth place of Bide”

LOL... Did she really say that?

I think she should poke fun at Obama by calling out that another man has apparently fainted, ...”could we please get some help down here, how about some water, I think someone has fainted, could someone please help that man blah, blah, blah. ;>)

I didn’t realize how much of a C&W fan the Gov is.
Just another thing to drive the champagne and brie msm’s crazy and make them hate and howl about her even more.
This is going to be fun on 5 Nov when these fools won’t know what hit them.

I’ve said the same thing about NJ/NJ/CT. Instead of giving up on us blue states, the campaign needs to reach out to the many, many conservative voters who live here.

I know many in MA who are disgusted with the Dem stronghold there as well. They too feel as if they are not being heard. Here in NJ, they have a perfect venue to put McCain/Palin on the national stage - Liberty State Park in Jersey City, opposite the site of the World Trade Center and right next to the Statue of Liberty on the Hudson.

They have to start to turn this around, despite the protestations of some that it’s not worth it

You may well get to see her in Oregon. I do not think we have much hope in Idaho. Pretty sewn up here and she has more important work back east.

Not only Rudy, but CT Senator Lieberman as well. He is well known to Manhattanites, and very well regarded there.

Everywhere? Like BHO 50 state strategy? I don't think so.

Wait a minute, Biden’s family ditched Scranton when he was 10. According to my math, that was 55 years ago. How exactly is it still “Joe Biden’s back yard”?
