COME JANUARY, a new president will take charge of a nation diminished, an America that is far shakier economically, less secure militarily, and less respected internationally than it was eight years before. The nation needs a chief executive who has the temperament and the nerves to shepherd Americans through what promises to be a grueling period and who has the vision to restore this country to its place of leadership in the world.
Such a leader is at hand. With great enthusiasm, the Globe endorses Senator Barack Obama for president. The charismatic Democrat from Illinois has the ability to channel Americans hopes and rally the public together, at a time when the winds are picking up and the clouds keep on darkening.
Unlike many of his rivals this year of either party, Obama isnt refighting the political or cultural battles of the 1960s. Instead, he is asking Americans to take responsibility for the nations problems now; no one else will take care of them, and the consequences of years of disunity and profligacy should not be visited upon future generations.

Boston Globe.......yawnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
“Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!” - Gomer
Yea, go figure. ;-)
Its time to start giving liberals free dope. Weed and downs that is.
I wonder what these pinheads have been smoking. You're about to see the TWO AMERICAS that the other 'RAT was talking about.
There won’t be any criticism, unless extremely tepid, coming from the Glob. They are fellow travelers and know what Obama’s real game is.
Boston Globe Endorses Obama!
what a surprise?
We’ve just seen a major daily newspaper endorse a candidate for POTUS with these words, “he was president of the Harvard Law Review and a community organizer.” That’s it there’s nothing else. That statement and the fact that it appears as his only accomplishment makes Sarah Pailn’s experience look like Dwight David Eisenhower.
I think even “extremely tepid” will get a nasty note at the very least.
Any media organization that endorses Obama is begging for the loss of its freedom.
The old media needs Obama so Obama and Pelosi can institute fairness doctrine and Internet restrictions so old media can get back some market share and stay in business.
Another “move along” “nothing to see here” moment.
Yeah, let’s elect the most unqualified candidate in history to fix all these problems.
Makes sense to me.
Yeah, but, but he read something really profound concerning unity from a teleprompter once, so you can see how.............
The Boston Globe “laments” that the US military is weakened, yet it eagerly endorses a candidate who is on record as saying he wants to pretty much decimate and emasculate the US military. It supports a candidate who has promised to unilaterally disarm the US military. The Boston Globe is either naive beyond belief or it is committed to the destruction of the United States.
The Boston Glob. Reportedly the only paper that was permitted to have a look at Jean Lafitte Kerry’s military records. Did they also get to look at his diary?
If there was nothing there, why supress them from his critics?
The Boston Glob also slurred our troops with a hoax of a story (that had already been internationally exposed as a fraud and denounced by our State Department) about US “troops” “raping” “Iraqi” women. They were porn site photos.
What do you expect from such a treasonous paper as the Glob?
The Glob see victory in Iraq and Afghanistan as “weakening the military”. Idiots.
Well, those are the same “Credentials” that my liberal friends recite to me when questioned.
Oh, and that he’s also “black.”
