CNBC Reporter: Obama Suffers 'Blind Loyalty' to Economy-killing Policies By Ken Shepherd (Bio | Archive)
But if Obama is rethinking, he's not saying. As his running mate, Joe Biden tells us that it's patriotic to pay higher taxes, Obama remains committed to squeezing businesses even if the recession grows.
Gasparino also noted that "[t]o be fair, McCain hardly instills confidence among the Wall Streeters" he talks to but wondered why the campaign was putting more energy into the William Ayers angle "when it should be hitting Obama's blind loyalty to policies that bring together the worst elements of Herbert Hoover and Jimmy Carter."
Last week Gasparino slammed the Obama tax plan, likening it to "throwing gasoline on the fire":
"I mean, John McCain listen, say what you want about his performance but Im talking, just looking at that debate rationally could you literally add up he wanted to invade Pakistan I thought he said, he wants a surge in Afghanistan, he wants expanded health care, he wants to give a tax break to anybody under not a tax break, essentially a welfare check to anybody who makes $249,000 or less. By the way, its not a tax cut because poor people dont pay income taxes. Youre not changing the tax rates. And then he wants to tax everybody else."
Gasparino said that despite Obamas thin record, he is much more of an ideologue than McCain, based on his time as a community activist, state senator and in the U.S. Senate.

But, doesn't everyone know he is a confidence man???
The scary thing is the radicals who truly own Obama. They are going to expect return on their investment in him if/when he’s in office.
“when it should be hitting Obama’s blind loyalty to policies that bring together the worst elements of Herbert Hoover and Jimmy Carter.”
*****
Talking about Hoover and Carter policies is more abstract than a direct connection to Ayers. If the American people understand exactly what Ayers did (terrorism is easier to understand than economic policy) his absolute hatred of western values and if he can be directly tied to 0, a lot of 0’s soft support disappears.
"Blind loyalty" is exactly right. Obama is a student radical who never grew up. He's a bright guy, but he's lived his entire life inside the left-wing bubble, with the result that he's learned nothing in 30 years.
The “loyalty” of Obama supporters is so blind they might as well be programmed. During an excerpt of an Obama speach I noticed his crowd kept breaking into applause and cheering BEFORE he even finished a statement. As if they are so eager to cheer on anything he says they just mindlessly clap and cheer anything he says. I wonder where the Obama campaign puts the huge APPLAUSE..LOUDER....flashing signs??
“Joe Biden tells us that it’s patriotic to pay higher taxes...”
Nobody is forbidden to pay in as much extra to the US Treasury, when they their taxes, as they want to. All donations cheerfully accepted, same as at the church altar.
The trouble is, that ost of the taxpayers in this country want to MINIMIZE the share they pay to government, not necessarily as a matter of principle, but because they consider themselves to be wiley and astute players in a huge game of wits with the government agents, “catch me if you can”. Played with tax lawyers and if the stakes are big enough, with influence on the tax-writing panel of the Ways and Means committee, the game is set up mostly for big players, or to help one very small segment, almost a bill of attander in reverse, a bill of privilege for an individual or select few. That is one of the reasons the IRS regulations have become so bulky and convoluted, with occasionally some provisions directly contradicting each other, so no one is absolutely sure if the reight intpretation has been made,
When, as it happens, one interpretation is made by the individual or corporation, or through its legal staff, and another by the IRS, or more specifically, the designated agent, there is an internal tribunal for legal resolutions of disputes, which is more on the order of settling “let’s make a deal”, than it is of any principles of right or wrong, or even of legal or illegal.
Everybody starts out as presumed guilty of “cheating” the IRS, and it can take years of time, scads of money in legal fees and assessed penalties, and often some extreme influence, to clear one’s name, often for no more than the satisfaction of having done so. Rarely is restitution made to restore the monetary losses suffered by the victim of one of these tax disputes, and sometimes, it is more apparent that the taxation principles are more for social control than for extraction of adequate streams of revenue.
Jimmy Carter was the product of voters angry over Nixon and Vietnam. If Obama wins because of outrage over Bush and Iraq, he stands a very good chance of being Carter II.
I don't know, I think the American people would get it if McCain said
When confronted with a great economic crisis, Herbert Hoover decided to raise taxes and tariffs. This extra burden pushed people trying to tread water below the surface and held them under. And as a result we got a 10 year depression, unique in American history still. Now even with this lesson well known, Obama wants to do the same thing Hoover did. And when Charlie Gibson pointed out to Obama that his tax increases would probably not even generate any revenue to the government, Obama said he'd do them anyway because it's fair. Fair! He wants your money so badly that he doesnt even care if the government benefits. In fact, nobody benefits! You have less and the government has less, and this is what Obama thinks is "fair"!
