John McCain's campaign and the Republican National Committee plan to spend "upwards of $160 million" in the final weeks of the presidential race, according to a senior McCain adviser.
This will represent a massive counter-attack to combat Barack Obama's lopsided spending advantage to date.
The McCain adviser told FOX News that, while Obama is outspending them in all but two of 14 battleground states, "that will change over the last four weeks."
As national and battleground state polls show McCain trailing Obama consistently, McCain is urging voters not to count him out.
"In case you missed it, this is about the seventh or eighth time that pundits have said 'McCain's campaign is in trouble,'" he told Wisconsin voters Thursday. "We fooled them then and we will fool them again."

The downfall of Obama might be his own laziness.

I heard that also the McCain camp has been fighitng Obama to a standstill with basically no money. Obama’s strategy has been to get a big lead and sit on it. Barry may have to spend some precious facetime at some rubber chicken dinners the next few weeks for money. That 30 minute ad by the way, by law, the networks have to offer time at the same rate you can bet 10 million or so will be spent in 30 minute infomercials counter Odinga..I mean Obama.

Karl Rove has been given the keys to Freedom's Watch $200 - $250 million dollar war chest. Ari Fleischer is their spokesperson. It is bank rolled by Las Vegas Billionaire Sheldon Adelson. You can find one reference here to it -

In a fundraising pitch, Carville warns: "Freedom's Watch, the secretive Republican attack group zeroing in on Democratic House candidates, has put its expected $200 million war chest in the hands of Karl Rove." For the record: there's no concrete evidence Rove's officially connected with this group. But GOP operatives say he's close to the organization's big bankroller, who has the ability to pay separately for speeches and advice.

The thing is, I just can’t see California being in play. Maybe they’re doing what Bush did to Kerry in ‘04, going for states they know are going to go blue just to force the Dems to spend resources there. Bush mainly did it with rallies and appearances, but opening offices and running ads could have the same effect.

people will have plenty of doubt about Obama by the time they step into the voting booth. Heck! We may even be able to convince McCain that Obama would not make a fine president.
To: mad_as_he$$
He can say that because he knows what is in store for obama...the nuclear bomb of the truth.

They need to focus this on two things:1. Why Obama's policies are bad for Americans
2. Why the policies of a McCain Administration would be good for Americans
This vague "Obama isn't ready to lead" stuff is an epic fail.

Goes to show when someone is a product of affirmative action, they do become lazy. You are right he is lazy and wants everything handed to him.
