John McCain's campaign and the Republican National Committee plan to spend "upwards of $160 million" in the final weeks of the presidential race, according to a senior McCain adviser.
This will represent a massive counter-attack to combat Barack Obama's lopsided spending advantage to date.
The McCain adviser told FOX News that, while Obama is outspending them in all but two of 14 battleground states, "that will change over the last four weeks."
As national and battleground state polls show McCain trailing Obama consistently, McCain is urging voters not to count him out.
"In case you missed it, this is about the seventh or eighth time that pundits have said 'McCain's campaign is in trouble,'" he told Wisconsin voters Thursday. "We fooled them then and we will fool them again."

Watch the profanity
Don’t think so, but it will be much closer than usual, as will all blue states be, any state that Bush lost by 5% or less is vulnerable.
Obama is the worst candidate in history.
knock off the personal attacks
This is the most optimistic thread I’ve seen on FR for days/weeks. Guess where my wife is spending her time?
The Hillary forums. They’re WAY more confident that D’ohBama is going down than even FReepers. She says it’s more optimistic, and they’ve been doing lots of opposition research.
If McCain followed your advice, he would be handing hammers out to the media to beat him to pulp.
It’s not the base he needs to be pulling over to our side, it is the middle. If he goes on a full fledged rant spewing venom at B.O., the middle will flee.
Let the 527’s and others do the attacking.
So, in CA there is an anti-gay-marriage initiative that is winning 2:1. Do you think McCain will pick up a lot of those voters? I do.
Not only that...but McCain needs to go back to 2001..when the administration started sounding the clarion call about Fannie and Freddie. The republicans have been trying to rein this financial tsunami in for 8 YEARS!!
FOR 8 YEARS, THE DEMOCRATS HAVE BLOCKED REFORM!!
You know, something tells me that Obama and his typical supporters would just roll their eyes and dismiss great films like Patton and The Longest Day as jingoism. That alone tells me these people are unfit to rule our great land.
That’s one thing about the Clintleone family - they harbor grudges and they never forget. That’s why they’re so damn dangerous. For now, the vendetta’s against Barry the Red.
We’ll still have to deal with them later.
At any rate, the McCain people have said that it all comes down to the last 72 hours, and in a non-incumbent race, I think they are right.
I think it would be great if the McCain campaign made short ads out of these four 3 to 4 minute videos! Please watch each one if you have not done so! A travesty!
McCain Ad Entro could be:
“Democrat Voters Speak Out About The Obama Campaign!”
http://www.wewillnotbesilenced2008.com/video/index.htm
it would be great if they did a 15 minute segment AFTER Obamas 30 minutes....and had Palin and McCain together debunking Obamas lies and stating our case as president. That would be watched!
Here's my yard sign:
Sounds like fun at the hillary forums.
The nuts are insane this season. I’ve never seen such a crop of hickory nuts, walnuts, hazelnuts, freeper nuts.
Excellent.
The obscene profits from this campaign will probably keep the New York Slimes and other marxist rags in business for the time being, unfortunately.
After the election, conservatives have to get series about confronting the MSM head-on.....and workable strategeries must be formulated to destroy them and their Goebbels messagings.
That little weasel, Pinch Sulzberger, must be shaking in his boots awaiting the election result. I hope the result will put him out of his slimy publishing misery once and for all.

Don't fall for the Devil's tricks. One of his tactics is to demoralize the good and get them not to do anything (i.e. vote).
The media's campaign to shotgun Obama in the White House can backfire on them. With him "so ahead" in all the polls, some lazy citizens may decide not to bother voting since he's "going to win" anyway. As omnipresent and all-knowing as Obama is, (/sarc) even he can't make someone get out of bed and vote.
And don't forget the "bitter clinger" voters who are highly insulted that Obama thinks he's too good for their vote.
I live in an “academic” neighborhood. Big, well-kept older houses on the edge of a decent-sized university. A ton of college profs live here, mostly liberals. I don’t see all that many Obama signs or bumper stickers. There were more for Gore and Kerry. I see a few bumper stickers around campus, but not as many as the past few elections for the other ‘Rats.
Of course, this is Tennessee and McCain will win easily here.
Only if McCain does not tell everybody it is ok to vote for the Obamanation - again.
