John McCain's campaign and the Republican National Committee plan to spend "upwards of $160 million" in the final weeks of the presidential race, according to a senior McCain adviser.
This will represent a massive counter-attack to combat Barack Obama's lopsided spending advantage to date.
The McCain adviser told FOX News that, while Obama is outspending them in all but two of 14 battleground states, "that will change over the last four weeks."
As national and battleground state polls show McCain trailing Obama consistently, McCain is urging voters not to count him out.
"In case you missed it, this is about the seventh or eighth time that pundits have said 'McCain's campaign is in trouble,'" he told Wisconsin voters Thursday. "We fooled them then and we will fool them again."

bttt
I’m going to do a search on that PAC money now.
We already have 200 Million with just McCain/RNC/NRA.
Good. That’ll get the economy cookin’ again. Oh, and win us the election. ;)
I hope it’s enough — we need to see that Ayers commercial up here in Wisconsin. Enough with the Healthcare stuff!
I hope the GOP will do an ad about the Obama/Odinga Connection, too.
Thank Obama’s Truth Squads...
What IS the closing argument? What SHOULD it be?
If only. I read where Bill was supposedly going to campaign for Obama next week??? I hope he sounds like he has the last few times and is poising himself to step in when Obama gets indicted or something - to calm the Obama Supporters.
Is that Barry, Putin, or a bald Hugo Chavez? I can’t tell! ;) LOL
“Bill Clinton is a buffoon at times but he is no fool. The Clintons want MEGA payback.”
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Just yesterday I told my darling wife that I need to try to stop badmouthing the Clintons. She turned purple and began to gasp for air at this shocking news and I thought I would have to call 911 but she eventually recovered and asked why I would suddenly renounce my calling. I told her that I am convinced that the Clintons are doing everything possible to stop the election of Obama,”The enemy of my enemy is my friend”.
The way I see it is the Clintons want an America to rule over, this makes them less dangerous than Obama who is a puppet for people who want to destroy America. I am RipSawyer and I approved this message.
Can’t find anything about the Rove PAC so let’s assume it doesn’t exist.
160 Million RNC/McCain/Palin
40 Million NRA
Let’s go with the ridiculously low 527/Other PAC’s at 10 Million.
That’s 70 Million Dollars a week for the next 3 weeks, that is a STAGGERING amount of money.
Anyone know what Obama has left in the till?
The wisest and most cautious of us all frequently gives credit to stories which he himself is afterwards both ashamed and astonished that he could possibly think of believing . . .Is it not for that reason that we come to FR to pool our skepticism? It is acquired wisdom and experience only that teach incredulity,
and they very seldom teach it enough. - Adam Smith
Don't give up!
Here is a quote by Ronald Reagan that helps.
"You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.
If this is true...then expect the networks to refuse to air McCain’s ads.
They can be taken to court...but it won’t play out till after election.
All the money in the world will not win this unless McCain decides to try.
My own efforts (and yours), no matter how relentless will be wasted if McCain doesn't even want the job and his performance of the past month indicate he's not interested in anything more than a pretence at a campaign.
Yes, I know... you think I'm just an attention whore for saying these things and I think you're delusional, so we have those postings out of the way.
We desperately need McCain to fight. If anyone reading these boards happens to have the man's ear, please encourage him to be a man again, to handle Obama like he handled his Vietnamese captors, to understand Obama is most certainly NOT an honorable man, to realize that our very existence as the United States is at risk in this election and Obama's minions have a very different plan for the future.
We the people, need McCain to fight this man, to take it to him in the debate and in every public appearance from here on in.
The ads already in the can are hard hitting.
For those of you wanting McCain to hit Obama in the thread with a frying pan during the debate, you might be disappointed.
